A deep space outpost located in neutral space, jointly operated by the Interstellar Alliance and Constitutional Dominion of Ersetu, Port Endeavour is the the first in a new experimental joint venture between the two star nations to jointly operate a series of outposts along the trade routs between the Alliance and the Dominion to function as ports of call, safe havens, trade ports and diplomatic contact points and promote the betterment of relations between the humans, kishargal and their neighbors.

Port Endeavour is one of the old deep space lighthouse stations constructed by the Constitutional Dominion of Ersetu and operated in the early age of their expansion into the stars after the foundation of the Dominion. The station operated as a deep space frontier outpost for the Dominion for centuries, projecting their influence into the coreward expanses. After hundreds of years of service, with Dominion interests waining in the sector of space it inhabited, the decision was made to withdraw from the station as Dominion borders were solidified and it's use was less and less needed. The station was deactivated by the Dominion in 2506 (1293 by the Dominion calendar).

The station sat dark in deep space for over 500 years, until in recent years with the ever growing trade between the Alliance and Dominion, and the danger of piracy in the long trade lane between the two nations, it was decided to reactivate the station as the first in a series of jointly operated stations along the trade lane.
