I would like to tell you a story. Please get comfortable and have a cup of tea with me.
Would you like sugar? Ah, I see.
Where was I? Right, I was telling you a story.
In 2378 GSC, the deep space colony vessel, UESS Pioneer, departed from Earth with the hope to find a new planet to call home. The control tower could only watch in amazement as the UESS Pioneer vanished into a fold space-time vortex and was never heard from again. The crew of the Pioneer realized that their fold drive had been sabotaged and they had lost all contact with Earth.
Almost 200 years later, the Pioneer's crew re-emerged in another sector of the Milky Way. Humans quickly realized that the solar systems they found were settled and occupied by a strange variety of creatures. Some of which had vast empires, formidable militaries, and levels of technology the likes of which they had never seen. To their amazement, some of the aliens echoed beings of Earth lore and were capable of performing miracles. Humans also learned that in order to survive against insurmountable odds they would need to innovate to compensate for their biological shortcomings compared to their new Interstellar neighbors and still retain their humanity.
Surely, you must already…?
Well, if you insist.
It is 3018 and the political tensions are rising between the human, The Interstellar Alliance; the technologically elevated essence of humanity, the Empire of Tai Pan; the giant horned, Constitutional Dominion Of Ersetu; and the blue desert planet denizens of the Gartagen Union. Invasion from the feral Atraxians, threatens colonies on the furthest reaches and mysterious outsiders are manipulating the nations towards war.
Are you brave enough to join the fight to unite the nations against their unseen enemies? Or will you further shatter the universe?

Y’all settle down here a spell while I tell y’all the tale of mine and your’n ancestors.
In 2378 GSC, the deep space colony vessel UESS Pioneer, departed from Earth with the hope to find a new planet to call home. But everything went south. The UESS Pioneer vanished into a fold space-time vortex and was never heard from again. The crew of the Pioneer found that the fold drive was sabotaged and couldn’t raise Earth through the commsnets.
To their amazement, some of the aliens echoed beings of Earth lore and could perform miracles. Humans also learned that to survive against insurmountable odds they would need to innovate to compensate for their biological shortcomings compared to their new Interstellar neighbors and still retain their humanity.
It is 3019 and the political tensions are rising between humanity's Interstellar Alliance; humanity's technologically elevated essence, The Empire of Tai Pan; the giant horned, Constitutional Dominion Of Ersetu; and the blue desert uh.. peoples of the Gartagen Union. On top of those tensions are the constant threat of invasion from the feral Atraxians, dangers to colonies on the furthest reaches and mysterious outsiders manipulating the nations towards war.
Are you brave enough to join the fight to unite the nations against their unseen enemies? Or will you further shatter the universe?

A long time ago1), some people were on a ship and they left some place to go to some other place. It didn't go where they wanted it to go because someone had messed with the ship or whatever.
A lot later2), but still long ago, the ship appeared out in space somewhere. They found a bunch of things like the float-turtles, feather-things, Hug-monsters, small-people, and a buncha others. Bunches and bunches. These other creatures had all sorts of ways to smash things too! The people on the ship weren't very good at smashing. Some of them even wear inflated bags all the time so they don't get sick and die from the air! They can die from AIR! They are so weak, you smash them just a little bit and they get all upset, take away your TV, and don't give you juice boxes. Its amazing they didn't get smashed right away by these other things! Anyways, that's why they made me 3). I'm the greatest. I can smash anything.
Its now, and the people that made me are getting all upset with these other people who are much better at smashing than they are. The blue guys with the weird legs who like it hot are angry too. The tall people with the cool hats? Angry. Little green ones that live in the jungle nearby? Angry. Big green and grey ones with all the muscles? Angry. I'mma get to smash them in their stupid faces soon… OH! And I'm gonna get one of those hats. Its going to be awesome!
You could try and make everyone less angry with one another, I hear the old people talking about that all the time… probably because they get smashed so easily. I'm just gonna smash stuff!

The report is as follows.
Year 2551 GSC, this massive human spaceship called the Pioneer is lost and alone. They don’t know how they got there, 200 years from where they started, in an unfamiliar part of the galaxy. Diagnostics point to sabotage. They have no support now, and they can’t get back.
So as humans do, they just colonised the first place with good air and land they could find. A desert planet they call Eden becomes their new base.
Over the next hundred years, they find out that they are not the only empire-builders around, and struggle to fight and remain independent. The rules are different here. Some of these other-men have better technology. Others can bend the very space around them using powers projected from within.
So it is year 3019 GSC now. The Alliance of old humans is getting stronger, but so are their enemies. There are those who embraced their technology and became better, the Empire of Tai Pan. There are the glowing horned ones with their big art-ships, the Kishargal. There are the tough militaristic desert-folk the Gartagen Union. Dozens more than that.
Outside-men who are feral and crazy, attacking the weak people on the edges of space. Outside-men messing with the empires from the inside. Some things older than any of this, secret great things that can’t be recorded they are so deadly.
Logically, this situation gives you two options. Unite the empires, and point that force at the greater threat… or pull the trigger and watch it all shatter completely.
