After the departure of the deep space colony vessel UESS Pioneer from Earth in 2378 GSC, the ship vanished into a fold space-time vortex after their fold drive was sabotaged. The Pioneer lost contact with Earth and re-emerged in another sector of the Milky Way in 2551 GSC. The colonists aboard were forced to innovate and forge ahead to survive in a sector where the lost and detritus of the galaxy tended to find itself in. They encountered humans who had been lost to time, aliens both native and and transported as they had been, the strange powers of magic and psionics, and technology they had never before seen.

The year is 3021 GSC and tensions are rising between the human, The Interstellar Alliance; the familiar but alien echo of humanity, the Taianese; the giant horned, Constitutional Dominion of Ersetu, and the ancient but diminished elves of the Solarity of Kowloon. Try to survive the coming strife, join the fight to unite the nations against their unseen enemies, or further shatter the universe.
