Chapter Two: Indestructable

Post by Bullroarer4 » Wed Jun 05, 2019 7:31 pm

Atraxis
Atraxis IV
The Wastes

That morning, just before the sunrise, The Black Forge assembled at the star-port. Again, Dav used the rest of his currency to charter three Carry-all. The first to bring the company out into the wastes to locate a suitable wreckage for salvage. The second and third to retrieve the salvaged dropship and the company for return to Diej Prime. Based Upon how well they do, Diej Heavy industries was willing to offer a contract for Salvage protection. Essentially, the same job The Black Forge was doing for themselves, but for another with coin to spend. And coin they would need to repair and refit both the company of mecha and a dropship. For better or worse, Atraxis was going to be the home of The Black Forge for a little while.

Dav positioned his Tiger, "Dark Horse" under the carry-all. "Black Forge, assemble under the carry-all. Prepare to be harnessed by the transport. Hopefully we won’t have to do this too often. Our Home is out there, waiting for us to claim her." With his signal, the carryall deployed two arms and gently lifted the Mecha under the Carryall's wing.

The patchwork mech Muk called Doomcrakka settled in under the Carry-All. It was assembled from a hodgepodge of mech salvage, consisting of Lion legs, Tiger torso and cockpit, and the arms of a Puma. A kitchen sink welded to the cockpit had a small Atraxian riding in it who seemed to be having a reality good time. Spikes of scrap metal were similarly welded to seemingly random spots, and the blade of a bulldozer with a green skull spray-painted on it was attached below the cockpit.

Muk gave the signal for the Carry-All to lift his mech. He barely had room to move around in the cockpit to move. Born To Be Wild blasted at full volume into his cockpit from massive speakers, the bass causing his seat to vibrate.

Alex followed Dav to the carry-all. He similarly positioned his mech underneath the VTOL and allowed for it to be lifted underneath the craft. The sensors of the mech confirmed that the lock was solid and that he didn't need to worry about falling from the sky any time soon.

While piloting Beast, Xir activates a gravity point to gently lift and place Beast on top of the carry-all. While using the same kind of gravity point Beast secured itself to the top center of the carry-all while simultaneously reducing Beasts weight by almost half to not interfere with the carry-all’s maneuvering. Xir now had an additional vantage point for line of sight vision and uses of Beasts weapons if needed.

This was her first time with everyone, the normally social elf feeling a bit unsure at the moment, but she was pretty calm all things considered. She was still completely green to the machine she was driving and was pretty distracted by all the switches and buttons that was inside it, " Oh boy..." she mumbled to herself, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her pointed ear as she bit her lip some while looking over her notes that she took from a book she found last night.

Steven starting up his mech and, moving similarly to Dav, he moves his mecha next to Dav. Steven plugs his laptop into the system console to get better results looking for starships with mecha sensors.

As Joshua watches everyone load up and heading to the carry all he loaded his belongings that he took out and holster his handgun and climbed into his cockpit and connected his earpiece to the gunship and started the engine and place the gunship into hover mode and as he waiting to go he shuffling through his cd's to find a nice soundtrack to play until his turn he [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKtsdZs ... -S&index=1] he start to tap he finger and mouth the words turn his turn and slowly hover his away gently over to the carry all to be locked in place into the carry all.

Orange Flowed in to the cockpit, taking a second to look around and get use to the controls finding the correct controls Orange started up the mecha. Orange decided to start slow and just walk around and moving the arms till it was comfortable with everything walking over to the carryall to be hooked up.

Lyon drags himself through the city, bringing up dust as he scoots into the dunes that threaten to swallow the oasis whole. His patchwork cloak struggles in the wind as he looks up to Alex and Xir's mechs, his right hand above his eyes to temper the harsh Atraxian rays. It's been years, and Lyon has yet to grow out of the comfortable shadows of Habu's craters. Uggh. He shakes his head of nostalgic memories, continuing to the carry-all amidst the furious clanking of mechs locking into place and of the roar of engines. Once onboard, Lyon silently sits behind Dav, pulling his hood down, his entire body leaning forward, awkwardly twiddling his thumbs.

Other hired hands piloted the spare machines under the carryall before disembarking. This Was likely going to take a few extra days and the hired hands were not up to embarking on a quest into the wastes.

With the Team loaded up, the Carry-all began to rise. Soon, the team was gliding over the desert. Dav took this opportunity to take a nap. He didn't trust the carry-all pilot to notify him if any dropship wrecks popped up on the metallic sensors. Dav told the team, "Take shifts monitoring and resting. There is no telling how long we will be in these cockpits. Muk, Alex. take the first watch, followed every two hours by Xir, Steven, then myself and Aiyana., finally by Orange and Lyon."

Muk’s music cut out and he heard Dav’s instructions. He tapped the microphone button and yelled, “AYE, BOSS! MUK WILL WATCH FOR SHINIES!”

"Gotcha." Alex responded, as he began to set up the sensors on his battleframe to scan the area below and around them for wreckage. He figured that the combat sensors of a battleframe might be a bit more accurate at identifying things than the general-purpose sensors of the carryall, which had sensors intended more for navigation. "I'll let you guys know if we spot anything."

As instructed, Xir relaxed and mostly interacted with Beast between shifts. During watch it maintained attention and focus on sensors and the environmental situations. Especially with how bad sand storms could be on Atraxis. Xir also does a little small talk with Steven sense they are in the same shift and doesn't want to bother those at rest.

Joshua paused his music to listen to Dav’s instructions. When Dav was done giving his instruction he noticed his name was not said by Dav and was joyful a little.

Grunting in acknowledgement, Lyon shifts uncomfortably in his seat. Without a data pad to amuse himself, and only the endless sands to stare at, he starts poking around in the cockpit, tapping at switches and dials that he was allowed to get his hands on, before his eyes lock onto the holographic display besides the pilot, He couldn't resist the thought. How much would that sell on the black market?

Hearing when her shift was, she would just nod, " Sure, that will give me time to try and learn what all these things do." she said with a small chuckle. Sitting back, she just looked out the windows, the sand not giving much for a view but in its own way it was a bit peaceful to the elf. It would be her first time in a desert like area and the heat didn't bug her too much- especially inside. While relaxing, she just looked around at everyone, learning their faces quietly as she didn't say much at the moment.

Atraxis
Atraxis IV
The Wastes

Several days later, the cockpit of Dav's mecha, The Dark Horse, was littered with empty cheap ration cans and water bottles refilled with urine. With little to do other than worry about finances and the logistics of acquiring and refitting at least one space capable dropship, Dav chatted with his cockpit mate, giving his ride along a chance to tell his story.

[everybody can respond here if they wish. this would be flavor text describing the inside of your cockpit, or to describe the boredom of being locked into a cockpit for several days.]

For the past few days, the diffident rookie never took the opportunity to connect with Dav, much less throw up his messy history, replying only with grunts, mm-hmms, and head gestures. Instead, he put his efforts into making himself comfortable in the cockpit, as best he could, anyways. Even with years of experience squeezing into the storage hangars of starships, Lyon struggled to get into a position that accommodated the two stubs on his back, alas resorting to sitting sideways with his seatbelt awkwardly strapped over his shoulder and across his arm, then having to change position every few minutes to prevent the arm under from going completely numb.

For the past couple of days, the back of the gunship has a couple of bags of trash in the corner filled with ratio wrappers and bottles full of urine. The gunship smells like grease and gunpowder for the clean of all of Joshua's accessories as one would call them but after a while, he vented it out while jamming out to different CDs of rock and alternative music.

Orange decided to just morph parts of it body into different things while the days passed on in the cockpit of the mecha, Its first attempt was a sword than a spear, than it decided to try harder things like Xir's body parts, steadily trying parts of each of the crew members.

Alex's backside hurt. The cockpit of these battle frames was well designed, but there was only so much that they could do to make it comfortable for days at a time. Food containers had piled up, crawling out of the small plastic bag that was intended to hold trash, and the entire cockpit now smelled like cheap processed meats and energy drinks.

Muk was bored out of his mind after two days of this. He had never been in one room with nothing to do for this long. The first day he sang drinking songs with the Traxling called Kortezz and listened to music. After day one he spent most of the time sleeping out of sheer boredom.

During his time stuck in the cockpit, he had filled up several buckets with a greenish brown liquid. He ate all the ration bars by the third day before deciding to eat Kortezz.

Over the few days Xir talked with the crew through comms about its vast journey through the galaxy. The multitude of different races and cultures it has seen. Strangely no explanation of why it did so much travel was never mentioned and was actively avoided when asked.

As Steven looked over a multitude of cockpit styles and forms. He comes into a circular console system for maximum efficiency when driving the mecha, especially with the new paint job of this beauty.

Aiyana liked the conversations that went on through the com systems, it helped teach her more than what she knew- every so often putting in her two cents about her people but never much about herself really since she was still getting to know everyone but so far no one had pried. Talking about easy topics like what type of planet this was or what races were about were much easier and helped stave off too much boredom from the length of this travel.

------------

The next day, the metallic sensors began to ring in the cockpit of Alex's mecha, indications of a cluster of several large metallic objects below. Even from 10,000 feet, several large furrows could be seen below in the dunes.

"Heads up people," Alex said over comms, "We've got something on the sensors. Not sure what they are yet, but they're definitely big."

Dav responded, "Roger that, Alex." Opening a comm link to the carry-all captain, Dav spoke, "Captain Bernard. This is our destination. set us down two klicks short of the convoy up ahead. Hover and release us and our supplies."

As the Carryall to begin it's [urlhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGU1P6lBW6Q]descent[/url] and to hover low half a mile short of the targets, Dav thought, hopefully the Atraxians would deal, but this deployment location would allow the company to assemble and strike quickly with surprise, if necessary.

As the Carry-all grew closer to the targets, what initially looked like several ball bearings grew to appear as three spheroid dropships being rolled/dragged with huge chains by several piles of scrap on legs as several dozen armed vehicles of various makes painted in an orangish red, drove in circles around the caravan, creating a cloud of sand.

The scrap mecha-men sported various totems, scaffolding, and weapons. Dozens of desert hued figures covered the mecha, cheering and chanting, waving weapons and making lewd gestures towards the approaching carry-all.

Landing behind a dune not far from the caravan, Dav was released from the carry-all, landing on the sand dunes with all the weight of a falling building. Flexing his legs to absorb the impact, Dav's mecha Dark Horse remained upright, sinking several meters. releasing the safeties on his weapons, he opened the aft hatch. Satisfied to the loyalty and shared interest, at least while out in a wasteland, Dav said "Lyon, pilot the remaining supply mecha. Be ready to bring the additional ammunition up to the combat mecha. I'm trusting you with a very important job. Please don't let me down.”, The other mecha were released as well as Joshua's gunship after Dav's mecha.

Opening comms to the rest of the team, Dav said, "Let's see if we can convince the natives to part with one of their dropships. Be ready for a fight, though. They aren't known for their kindness or reasonability."

"Understood" Steven says to Dav, Steven reach above him to switch on the EMC. Making sure that they can’t target him as much but better to be safe than sorry in these kinds of situations. Steven scan the spheroids, hoping that those things have all the parts in them. Steven says in his head "I hope those things have all the parts in it, because it will he hell trying to find all of them here." He readies his weapon just in case things go south for the group. Steven puma moves towards the spheroids with Dav providing backup.

"Alright, sir." Lyon got up from his seat, using a split second to stretch out his numbed limbs, then fixes his cloak before heading out through the aft hatch opened. Climbing down from Dark Horse, then light-jogging across the troublesome sand that protests his every step by giving way, the scoundrel stops in front of the Lion Class Battle Frame. Or it would be, if it had any armaments on it. As it stands now, the blocky, sluggish mech didn't have much else going for it other than its thick hull, retaining only the basic exterior features of a mech: a pair of legs, arms with a sad excuse for hands, and cameras dotted all over the prismatic, central body. Just like back at home. Lyon gave a small, nostalgic smile, knocking twice on one of the mech's feet, which were as high as he was tall.

Climbing into the cockpit, the scoundrel is first greeted by a wave of fumes, a mix of vaporized alcohol, carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, and benzene. Drugs and booze, no surprises there. Lyon fans away the fumes as he inspects the rest of the cockpit. No effort was made to clean out the place, with a bottle wedged beneath the foot rest, ashes next to the armrest, dotting the seat itself, and dried up and crumpled tissue paper scattered across the floor. Hopefully it was just some guy with a cold, most likely not. Lyon comes over to the seat, dusting away the ashes before sitting down straight, avoiding leaning his stubby back into the chair.

"Engines coming online... now." Lyon comments to himself amidst the whirling of machinery underneath him as the Lion Class comes to life. "Sensor arrays online." The walls surrounding him light up, giving a complete view of the outside through the Mech's cameras. At the bottom left corner of Lyon's eyes, a rectangular frame pops up, displaying the structural integrity of the mech, along with pressure and temperature readings. Glancing at them, he nods. "Hydraulics are green." He grips the controls. "... Preliminary motion calibration... initiated."

The 14-meter-tall beast lumbered forward, one foot pushed into the sand, sinking, and sinking... before it slips backward, causing the main body to be thrown forward, threatening the entire mech to fall face down. "Crat!" Lyon grits his teeth and pulls the controls back, frantically trying to regain control over the vehicle. Slamming buttons, he activates the Lion Class' RCS thrusters, causing it to spew forth two large jets of gas forward to stabilize itself. Lyon sighs, wiping off sweat with his cloak. "That was not P.M.C..." Still shaking somewhat, he goes through the actual P.M.C motions, spending a few minutes to get accustomed to the mech, before moving it towards the large crates of ammo, taking the magazines containing beer-bottle sized bullets and mag-locking them to the mech's forearms and around its waist. "Alright..." He exhales, then opens comms with the rest of the team, talking to them for the first time. "I-I'll be staying behind this dune here. Yell when you're running low."

The order to get ready was met with a small nod from her, " Copy that." she said into her coms. She didn't do too much in the way of fighting, but she could relatively hold her own when need be- even though she was mainly here to heal or back-up, the elf still readied herself. The tips of her fingers tingle with a familiar warmth as she now mentally prepared herself for some sort of trouble.

This would be Alex's first real battle. His hands clenched and unclenched in both anticipation and stress. He checked and rechecked all of his weapons and systems before dropping down from the carryall. "Do we have any kind of plan for this?" He asked over the comms channels, as he activated his ECM.

Relieved to finally be doing something, Muk watched as they drew closer to the spheres. He looked at the totems, rage rising to the surface of his primitive brain. Muk knew the totems well. He thumbed the intercom. “Oy, bossman! Muk knows dem boys. Dey’s da Brain Bashas,” he spat out. “Gurk Godshredda’s boys. Muk has a gift for em, ya get me?” He switched his intercom off and shut down incoming comms from Dav and the rest of the Black Forge.

As soon as his mech was upright on the ground, it charged forward as fast as it would go in the sand. He turned on the external speakers and roared, “Brain Bashas! Muk Skullcrusha is comin’ for ya!”

"I guess not..." Alex muttered, just audible over the radio.

With the flick of a switch, Joshua attempted to ignite his engines. The engines sputtered as the VTOL gunship descended, coming to a sudden stop when it hit the soft sand dune.

Orange decided it was not going to be the last to run to the group so it readied the mecha’s weapons and started after Muk going as fast as it could.

Xir activated Beast' s chameleon camo skin to the sandy tan color of the dune and Beast https://shattered-universe.com/doku.php ... :bio-mecha performed a gravity point jump from the top of the landed carryall to the edge of the dune peak to get a focused look at the enemy roughly two kilometers away. Since Beast isn't compatible with standard tech for a camera link view with the other party members, Xir is forced to describe what it sees of the enemy positions, firepower, and numbers.

Atraxis
Atraxis IV
The Wastes

As Xir topped the dune, peaking above the ridge, His heightened senses observed the half dozen Atraxian mecha detach their heavy chains and began to turn and move towards the new sounds of a blaring challenge from Muk. Like a swarm of angry hornets, the Atraxian warband focused on the new threat. Two-dozen armed...vehicles, if you can call them that...surged towards the approaching Doomcrakka. The Atraxian vehicles were painted a variety of shades of orange and red. Some appeared to be mobile fortresses, bulky armor plates welded upon armor plates. Others little more than large buggies with a recoilless rifle. With little regard for aim, discipline, or friendly damage, the Atraxians began to fire wildly towards the enormous black, brown, and green mecha as they closed the distance to their prey.

Muk scanned the horizon for formidable targets, ignoring the small buggies kicking up tiny clouds of dust behind them. The tank-like battle wagons looked like they might be able to do some damage. They were moving fast enough to be within range soon. If he attempted to attack the fortresses from this far out, his missiles would likely be intercepted.

He chose to fire mini-missiles at the battle wagons, targeting half of them and launching missiles from both shoulder tubes, both legs, and the right torso of Doomcrakka. Mini-missiles screamed out of their tubes, leaving small trails of smoke behind as they flew towards the enemy vehicles.

As the cloud of missiles arced towards the half dozen lead battlewagons, a pitiful amount of anti-missile fire reached out to shoot a few missiles down. The missiles erupted upon contact, damaging two and destroying two others. The Battlewagons returned fire, scoring several hits to the Doomcrakka, shredding armor across the torso, arms and legs. Roars of cannons were matched by screams of Atraxians, both the living and the dying.

Joshua a little annoyed that his bird hit sand he started it up and started to rise in altitude he grabbed his helmet from behind his seat and put it on and scanned the horizon for what Alex was talking about. After reaching a stable altitude for his bird he activated his camouflage to check his system to make sure that everything was okay, and he had ammunition. he clicked his comms button and said, "so did anyone else have a wonderful takeoff."

Orange started up all the pulse weapons it has and fired at the battle fortress closest to it, still charging so it could get some use from its chain sword arms.

Orange's shots went high as the lead battle fortress dipped into a gully before reemerging with guns blazing. With shots falling short, the battle fortress added some additional speed to close the gap between the mercenary lead lance and the Atraxian clan war machines.

Alex began to move around to the side of the group, splitting off as he called over the radio. "Anyone else in a Puma, I'm going to try to flank around, I'd appreciate some support," He said, as he began to move off and away, feeding targeting data back to the rest of the group, though not taking any shots himself so as to avoid being spotted.

From Xir's vantage point, Xir zeros in on the mega crushah. Xir opens fire with only Beasts cutting laser trying to maintain a sustained hit for center mass.

Xir's cutting beam struck true, beginning to melt armor on the enormous belly on the mega crushah.

while Steven listens to his music he see's Muk charge the enemy forces, he decides to help out providing backup and fire power, then fires his whole arsenal of weaponry on the clad enforcer at the center mecha to show them that we are more than we seem as a group, Steven yells "surprise!!!!!" while humming to the earth old music that he found so fond of.

the barrel torso of the center Crushah took several hits, flaying armor. Rivers of patchwork ceramic armor melted off of the mecha, throwing off its balance.

Aiyana hung close to the back of the group, she wasn't fully ready to get into a fight but was there for back-up and support when needed. It had been a while since she had been in any sort of fight but she couldn't help the slight excited thrill she got from getting ready. Taking a moment, she would as well turn on her own tunes She was happily humming the song- an odd comparison to the generally sweet and quiet Elf. She was double checking everything, while the mech she was in bounced a little with her from her music.

As Muk charges forward, missile tubes hot, and Xir opens up their mech's laser to cut the enemy vehicle apart, Lyon's service mech emerges from behind the dunes, throwing a crate of ammunition at the mechs' feet, before ducking back down behind the dunes. Unlike the others, enjoying the excitement and the music, the noises around him drained out as all his body feather-hairs tense up. There's no turning back now. Well, he could just book it and run, sell this mech for parts, provided that Dav doesn't tear him inside out...

Scott positioned himself beside Steven, opening fire with a heavy gauss cannon as well as twin plasma cannons on the battle fortress. "We won’t last long unless we focus fire and bring down some of these enemies. he said.

as the shot struck a sand dune mere feet from his target, the engine spiked a power surge throughout the electrical systems. With a power flicker, a circuit blew behind Scott, killing power to the AI suite. As his HUD died, Scott screamed and hit the quick release on his combat harness. Cursing a stream of profanity, he rolled off the chair and grabbed a replacement fuse from the spare parts box hanging off of the back of the control chair. Please let me last until I can get this fixed. he thought.

Dav felt the electrical discharge from Scotts mech. his sensors squawked about the loss of signal. with the majority of the hostiles in front of him, Dav took aim at the multitude of battle buggies. Thinking to match swarm with swarm, Dav spoke to the AI, "Sweetie, track and fire on the smallest technicals with the tertiary missile systems." Bracing himself for the massive power drain using all of his systems, Dav took aim at the lead battle fortress with his main cannon and pulse cannons. Pulling the triggers on both hand yokes, the Dark Horse rocked back as the cockpit lights dimmed and the fusion engine behind his cockpit roars with the strain of all the weapon systems pulling power. A half second later, The Dark Horse spat out four small missiles in four different trajectories.

The AI selected four buggies which were closest to Dav, her synthetic emotions were one of protection. Four missiles arced into four Atraxian technicals, explosions were proceeded by loud whumps. little remained of the buggy technicals besides twisted metal and burning tires.
The gauss cannon and one of the pulse cannons struck the lead battle fortress dead center, the other cannon striking low along the left track fenders, Shattered armor from the kinetic impact sprayed outward, gossamer flakes showering the area right before bolts of plasma struck the center of the vehicle. Fires erupted from some of the armored cowls as several humanoid figures danced around, engulfed in flames. Clearly damaged, but not out of the fight, the battle fortresses took shots at Muk, Dav, Scott and Steven. This was at the extreme ranges in which an Atraxian could possibly hit and, as expected, their shots missed the marks. Through sheer volume, the remaining buggies managed a few hits to each of the four lead mecha, Muk, Dav, Steven, and Scott, doing minimal damage.

Atraxis
Atraxis IV
The Wastes

The battle buggies continued to close, now circling the lead lance of Dav, Muk, Scott and Steven. Filled with hubris rather than intelligence, the young Atraxians fired randomly at each of the mecha.

The remaining battlewagons continued their charge, focusing their fire on the Doomcrakka.

The Battle fortresses, including the lead burning vehicle, each fired upon one of the lead lance mecha while they continued to close at speed.

Following the Battle fortresses, the Crushahs began to fire their long(ish) ranged weapons, such as Zap guns, battle cannons, and Crak guns, each taking a target from the lead lance as well as Orange.

The Mega Crushah began to fire upon the hill where Xir stood, Large fixed artillery in the shoulders and the large Crak cannon it its belly belched forth fire, hoping for a quick kill before turning its enormous chainsaw arms upon the smaller enemy mecha

Joshua engaged his thrusters to support his comrades that are surrounded by the battle buggies. He pops in a cd with smudged writing on it and starts playing as he turns his comms on announcing the cavalry is on its way. While moving forward he locks on to one of the many battle fortresses and unleashes a railgun cannon round from under the gunship. The Railgun slings a massive 120mm shell down range at the fortress. Hit strike was true, damaging the frontal armor of one of the battle fortresses. Undeterred, it rolled forward firing upon the lead lance.

Scott quickly pulled the melted circuit from the smoking processor box, burning his fingers through the thin gloves. quickly sliding the fuse board back into the AI, Scott whooped as the red lights on the AI switched to a flickering amber, the sign of a restarting computer. His Joy was only temporary, as the strikes from the Atraxians finally found their marks.
The battle buggies fired randomly, striking Scotts mech in the rear, flaking off several sheets of armor, unbalancing the machine on the soft sand.

And then the titans of the battle field squared off. Hell, itself opened a maw of destructive forces upon the little patch of sand between the two forces.

Orange charged forward cutting though any battle buggies in its way to get to the closet battle fortress firing all weapon systems as it charged to slice the battle fortress into a masterpiece of parts. Orange was still wondering why it chose to follow ones straight into a fight with little to no intel was its stupidity, or greed maybe just the thrill of the fight it would have to think on it later and decide, while its focus was needed on the fight at blob.

One of the buggies collided with the right foot of the mystery machine, exploding as a missile flow into the front of the vehicle from the hands of a surprised Atraxian. Orange's weapon discharge evaporated another boggy. As orange closed to melee the lead fortress, the whine on his chainsaw arms transitioned from a low hum to a high-pitched screech. sweeping through several towers and turrets, Orange's first attack carved along the side of the enemy, the second punched through the damaged front armor, jamming the blade on the twisted internal structure. Orange witnessed Fires and smoke billow from the destroyed battle fortress as miniature Atraxians abandoned the crippled machine.

Alex saw his comrades charging straight in on radar tracking systems and shook his head slightly. That was probably a somewhat bad choice, and they had started to be surrounded, though some of them were attempting to break out.

He kept making tracks for the back of the group, continuing to provide targeting data to the rest of the group as he approached, stealth still active.

He peeked out, took his time to aim at the Mega Crushah's shoulder artillery pieces, and let loose an alpha strike before ducking back down and reengaging his stealth systems. Due to the range and the movement, most of Alex's fire missed. His mini missile launcher failed to launch, going from ready to offline when he pulled the trigger. one of his autocannons sprayed fire upon the left artillery emplacement, opening several holes in the patchwork armor upon the behemoth's shoulder. moments later, the AI assisted pulse laser spat coherent light into the open armor, detonating the shoulder. The mega crushah shivered, fire spilling out and downward on the back of the crushah.

Xir demonstrated little concern for the Mega Crushers Fire coming towards Xir and its Beast with only the sandy colored tip of the tail and head being exposed over the ridge of the dune. Xir maintained its laser cutter like a laser pointer against the mega Crushah abdomen and hope of penetrating the armor and taking what appears to be the leader out of commission.
Xir's beam held steady even in the face of overwhelming firepower. The laser beam finally melted through the torso armor, damaging the internal structure, but failing to cause crippling component losses.

The Mega Crushah continued to pound the sand hill with artillery fire, spattering the Beast with superficial shrapnel. Then the belly cannon fired. In slow motion, a 200 cm round accelerated past the sound barrier with a loud crack, followed by a sudden flash of light. The top of the sand hill simply exploded, flinging The Beast into the air, along with thousands of tons of sand, dirt and rocks. The waves of force from the explosion pushed and pulled The beast. Along with the force of the explosion, rock and shrapnel tore through his ammo sac and side.

Keeping sustained laser fire on the center crushah while moving up slowly to keep the mecha occupied. Steven making sure his mecha does not get too hot he maintains fire and keeps the mecha from overheating. Steven flips on the ECM. Steven's fire peppered the center Crushah, melting off armor and internal structure in the left torso while pock marking the right leg with laser fire.

Not wanting to get shot at too much, Aiyana moved her Mech around to stay close to the back of the fray. Looking back over her brief notes on how to set up one of her arm guns with a 75 mm Gauss Cannon, loaded it and pointed it at the battle wagons and started to open fire. Her eyes went wide as she let out a small giddy laugh, to those who didn't know her, would be a tad confused but to those who did would know she rarely shot weapons so this was a bit of a fun adrenalin rush for the elf, " Holy hell..." she gasped out with a small grin as she made sure to stay aimed at the wagons while avoiding hitting her team mates. With a one-two punch, she fired. one shot hit dirt while the other struck center. With a small pop, the turret of the targeted battle wagon flipped over as the vehicle ground to a halt. A small fire burned inside, pouring black oily smoke out.

Doomcrakka alone stood tall at the head of the Black Forge’s ranks. Muk was either incredibly brave or exceedingly stupid to face down such odds without knowing if the others would back him up. He couldn’t afford to take another hit like that so soon, and he knew it from the crimson light show on his display, so he kept moving forward at walking speed.

Muk’s roar could barely be heard above the cacophony of the battle. He released another volley of missiles on the enemy battlewagons, this time emptying both legs and the right torso sections of missiles. Once those were away, he lifted his 125mm Gauss Cannon arm and took a shot at the burning Battle Fortress. Muk's missile volley destroyed three more battlewagons and damaged another, thinning the ranks of the oncoming Atraxian horde. Another green light switched to red, this time the main launcher in the right torso.

The boom of the cannon drowned out all other sounds for a fraction of a second. He had to fight to keep the mech upright without any AI to assist him. Firing the big cannon in battle for the first time had Muk feeling giddy. “Muk’s feeling merciful, lads! Run away and he won’t come after ya!” He bellowed over the speakers. The gauss shot cored the engine compartment of the burning battle fortress, stopping the vehicle. Its few remaining turrets were still operational, returning fire.

"Is it still too late to run?" Lyon thought. Lyon maneuvers his cameras to the desert fields opposite to the ongoing battle. Scrolling through his mech's specs, he could take a hit or two. But he wouldn't be able to out run any of them. His current "allies", or the bandits. And even if he could run, what was he going to do? Go back to stealing?

Amidst the sounds of rockets roaring and bullets deflecting off armor coming through the comms, the real crappy music exacerbated by static, Lyon's feathering hairs perk up. "Dammit." He mutters, clenching his teeth. The scoundrel cycles through the his mech's hydraulics, grabbing a crate of smoke grenades with one arm, a crate of missiles with the other, then charges his mech over what’s left of the hill.

"Muk! Rearmaments!" Diverting power into the mech's upper torso and arms, anchoring its legs into the ground outside of the buggy perimeter, Lyon tosses the missile crate into the center with an underarm swing, having it skip along the sands. Then, putting all power into the arm carrying the smoke grenades, he screams through the mic, "Xir, deploying smoke!", proceeding to toss the entire crate over the perimeter, between the mechs and the Crushahs, having the canisters all fly out for Xir to shoot at.

The battle wagons fired upon Muk, one of the damaged ones detonating from the high heat and burning metal from a jammed battle cannon. Muk didn't fair far better. a solid hit from a battle wagon struck the Doomcrakka in the right torso, shearing off the launcher there.

The Battle fortresses and Crushahs fired as fast as they could reload, shredding armor and internal components. Scott took a hard hit to his left leg, toppling his mecha into the sand.
Dav took a hard hit to his right shoulder, wrecking the ammo feed to the right side of his Gauss cannon.
Muk took the worst of the return fire another hard hit, this time shredding his center torso, damaging his gyro and fusion heat shield. The ammo stored there melted and fused into a lump of solid ferro tungsten. The Doomcrakka took a heavy hit to his right leg, unbalancing the machine. Fighting the controls, The Doomcrakka plowed into the sand, face first. a spiderweb of cracks coursed along the edge of the cockpit.

With several of his team down, he needed time to rally The Black Forge and regroup.

When Dav saw the smoke grenades fly past the remaining battle fortresses, Dav directed his AI to target the smoke cannisters with mini missiles as he manually targeted the lead burning battle fortress with his cannons. Three of the missiles stuck true, spraying the advancing Crushahs and the Mega Crushah in a thick white smoke. The Gauss cannon missed, probably misaligned from the heavy hit to the torso. The arm plasma cannons struck the burning fortress center, melting armor and internals before detonating the ammunition magazines. the side of the fortress swelled before blowing chunks of metal and Atraxians all over the valley.

With the improvised smoke cover deployed, Dav speaks to his team. "Joshua, strafe that huge monster of a mecha and try to take out any more artillery emplacements. Alex, keep up that targeting data, especially against any damaged mecha. We need to thin their numbers a bit more, and quick. Orange, Steven, Aiyana, finish those battle fortresses. They are causing way too much damage. Lyon, I will need you to step up and take a few hits for the team as well as clear those buggies off Scott. Scott, Xir, Muk, Report your condition if you can."

The Battle buggies continued to fire upon Scott's Tiger mecha, this time aiming for the damaged leg with armor piercing rockets. One of the buggies detonated from a misfired rocket, several missed, and several hit. One bore down and exploded, blowing most of the Catspaws' knee joint out onto the sand.

Scott responds, "Left leg is crippled, Boss. I will have to fight from this position." After getting one leg under himself, Scott kept the tiger resting on the left stump and lowered right leg. Swinging his arms around, he fires on the annoying buggies with all his weapons, Cannons, lasers, and missiles. Systematically, Scott blasts each buggy, this time firing each weapon one at a time, one by one, they exploded with fire, death, and a scattering of Atraxian body parts. "Buggies neutralized, Boss." Scott reports. With hot weapon tubes and a straining fusion engine, Scott wipes the excess sweat from his brow. Soon, the mech will cool and he will be able to fire again.

While speaking, Dav lines up his plasma cannons and shoots at a battle wagon, turning it to slag. Dav commands his AI, "Sweetie, run a quick diagnostic on the main cannon and use Alex's targeting data to lock and fire missiles on his target." Seconds later, the AI launches the missiles, arcing through the dense smoke.

Joshua follows the orders that Dav gave him as he locates the target. He switches his missiles to a more penetrable one. He arms two of the penetrating missiles and launches them at the artillery cannon one the Mega Crushah that damaged the beast. He then let another railgun shell loose into the open compartment of one of the fortresses to draw some aggro away from Joshua’s comrades. The penetrators streak through the smoke, striking dirt before detonating in a glorious explosion. Struggling with the shockwave, his gauss round clips a red and green flag, causing no damage.

Sensing looming destruction, the remaining battlewagon fires on Orange as it attempts to make a break for the smoke, grazing his shoulder armor.

Orange decided it wished to carve more beautiful scraps of metal as it turned to the closet battle fortress firing all its pulsed weapons at it, as it charged forward slicing the battle fortress with is chainsaw arms with precision and force. As well as keeping itself positioned between the fortresses and its downed comrade the fearless one known as Muk. The battle fortresses focus fire upon the looming threat, the large orange Lion class mecha wielding twin chainsaw arms. Cannon shells streaked from the twin Atraxian behemoths striking the Mystery Machine. Savage fire removed the left arm at the shoulder as well as heavy armor damage across the torso and right arm. Undeterred, Orange returned the favors with a light show, dozens of coherent light beams briefly connecting the foes. focused laser fire opened the magazines housed in the belly of the vehicle before detonating the ammunition stores. The resulting shockwave tossed Orange onto his back, rattling the ooze inside the cockpit.

Xir open comms. "my ballistic weapon is out because I have no ammo, and my laser cutter will be less effective shooting through the smoke so I'm going to jump into the fray and begin working on the fortresses until the smoke clears.". Xir also knows that if Orange doesn't get some support soon then it won’t last long.

Activating the gravity point, Beast is quickly lifted into the air propelling it over the dune towards the battle fortresses. While descending towards the front line Xir opens fire with the cutter on the remaining Battle fortress. The several shockwaves from multiple explosions, fluxes the energy beam, slicing harmlessly on the thick frontal armor of the remaining fortress.

Steven replied to Dav saying "understood", he proceeds to turn his mech and fire his whole arsenal of the Clad Enforcer at the sole functioning fortress, using his targeting systems so he can drop one of the enemies or in the very least make sure that they can’t fire back. Steven aims all his weapons on the center of the battle fortress. Plasma blasted at the tank, slagging armor and opening the front of tank, but missing any critical internals. The only results were the incineration of dozens of tanker crew.

At the target request given, she would give a nod, " Sure thing." she called over the coms before reloading her Gauss cannons and taking aim for the Battle Fortress that was closest to Orange, " I'm aiming next to yah Orange, watch yourself." she radioed over as she took aim for the fortress and opened fire on it as she tried to get it away from him. Twin Gauss rounds impacted the Battle fortress, one damaging more armor, the other cracking open the steam boiler used to provide power to the tank. gouts of hot fluid sprayed out of the front of the vehicle before catching fire, silencing the guns on the remaining vehicle.

Muk was at least intelligent enough to know when he was screwed. His display had red and orange lights all over it. Smoke leaked into the cockpit through tiny cracks. He was also covered in his shit, and that didn’t improve his mood.

Doomcrakka struggled to stand up under Muk’s guidance. He managed to roll the mech onto its back and get it standing again. Muk realized perhaps for the first time that he wasn’t as great as he thought, at least not by himself. Or maybe he just needed a bigger mech.

With the little introspection he was capable of over, Muk’s attention returned to the battle. He saw that the enemy mechs were obscured by smoke, leaving the vehicles on their own. Muk reluctantly turned his comms back on and reported in, moving Doomcrakka so the Mystery Machine obscured him from the view of the Fortresses while he talked.

“Muk’s alive, boss. Doomcrakka ain’t in good shape. Da motor’s fucked. Gyro not much betta. Muk can still krump em good.” He said. To prove he was still in the fight, he gave the retreating battle wagon a volley of missiles. Five missiles arced out and struck short, missing the racing target.

"This is what I get for being brave." Lyon curses under his breath, parts of it audible through his mic. There's no turning back now though. The scoundrel gulps and scans the battlefield with the mech's cameras. Definitely not looking great, he thought. Scraps of red-hot metal strut out from the sands, the mechanical gore of both his "friends" and enemies. Some actual gore lays strewn about as well, fortunately only that of the Atraxians, for now anyways.

With the push of sliding switches, Lyon returns power back to his mech's legs and runs past Steven, ignoring the buggies pestering him and dodging Aiyana's Gauss cannon fire, until he crosses her line of sight during a reload, coming upon what remains of Muk's mech. "I'm borrowing these." He remarks through the comms, scooping up missiles with one hand through the sands and grabbing a large piece of the Doomcrakka with the other, mag-locking it to his mech's right forearm to use as a shield. Then, with cold sweat drenching his cloak, Lyon opens the mech's speakers at the battlewagon, "Yo! 他妈的 (Ta Ma Da, Fuckers)!" putting power into his left arm and throwing the missiles in their general direction. He then reaches down for more, his right arm held out with the scrap metal, mostly just scaring the fleeing wagon as it raced into the fog.

Alex now began to circle around the back of the main enemy group, continuing his flanking maneuver and keeping the targeting data link still up. His ECM kept him concealed during his maneuvers, but it was becoming increasingly apparent that the situation was getting out of hand. Their sniper had just abandoned long range combat, and there was one mech down already.

It was clear that drastic measures would need to be taken. He began to approach the top of a dune behind the mega Crushah and began to take stock of the situation. The rear armor was mostly intact, and it would be hard to penetrate it from this angle. However, its stocky feet were exposed, and the machine's... unique... characteristics looked to make it fairly top heavy.

He stopped moving, and began to take aim, still concealed by his ECM. He had his AI attempt to reboot the malfunctioning missile pods before opening fire on the feet of the Mega Crushah, with another alpha strike, having taken enough time for the heat from the last one to dissipate. Energy weapons spat hot death, autocannons roared, and the coil guns whined as they sent slugs flying.

Laser fire connected with the right leg, savaging armor but failing to breach. Autocannon and coil gun rounds followed the lasers, finishing off the right leg armor and chewing into the dense structure. Large cannon shells began to spill out of the breach, several striking the soft sand below. Then the missile launcher rebooted and fired, along with the six missiles from Dav. three striking the right leg, More Detonations occurred, knocking the Mega Crushah to the ground on its right side. Fires continued to rage along the left side of the Crushah as it struggled to return to its knees.

Taking a moment to review the status of his team, Dav winced. Xir's beast had a serious wound in its side, leaking some blood on the sand as it landed. Joshua was hovering above the team, all green. Orange was missing an arm as well as a considerable lack of frontal torso armor, but otherwise still in good shape. Muk's Doomcrakka was more red than green on his readout but could still fight. There was no knowing how much more either of the damaged lions could take. Scott's mecha was crippled but functional, more of a pill box than a mobile weapons platform. Lyon, Aiyana, Steven, and Alex were all green. Alex was also still feeding targeting data to the team, the enemy Crushahs beginning to charge through the smoke.

Dav opened comms, "Lyon, Aiyana, Steven: move and line up with me. They are coming through the smoke very soon. You three are fresh and we need you to take a hit for the team. Trust in your courage and your brothers. Muk, Orange, and Xir: Counter charge when they emerge and fire. You are our best in close combat. Show them why. Scott, do the best you can and give supporting fire where you can. Alex and Joshua. Put that big fucker down for good!"

Dav raced past Orange and pre-charged his weapons, intending to take the brunt of the Atraxian charge.

Scott readied his weapons, bracing for the recoil.

Joshua opened the comms and said, "Roger that Dav, are you ready, Alex, to wreck the big ass cube." he engages his thruster and with a burst of speed he starts heading straight toward the mega crushah. While he is flying towards the mega crushah, he arms all his normal missile and penetrative missiles hoping that would give Alex enough time to cripple the monster. Joshua opens a direct comm to Alex to stay in contact with each other. he opens the comms "Alex lets drop this ugly cube." After Joshua got close enough to rain hell on the mega crushah he turned all his weapons on and started to shred the armor away on it. With a solid Lock provided by Alex's targeting data, Joshua releases the remainder of his missiles as well as a hypersonic round. Swarms of missiles impacted across the torso of the Mega Crushah including his last penetrator missile. gouts of flame poured from several armor breaches as pieces of mecha pinwheeled away. One of the arms careened to the ground. gyro spilled out of the rents to the ground moments before the mega crushah toppled forward onto its face.

Orange slowly got its bearings back assessing the damage done, as it got the mystery machine back up and, on its legs, and aimed back at the enemy and waiting for the Crushahs to emerge from the smoke.

Alex began to move closer to the downed giant, firing his jump jets and coming down on top of the torso of the great machine with a great crashing sound. Alex's mecha legs punched through the weakened armor and structure, burying himself up to his waist in burning metals and flames.

His autocannons and laser weaponry fired into the exposed structure and machinery inside the belly, raking up and down, probing for something sensitive.
His fire connected, destroying multiple Atraxian outcroppings, spraying body parts over the flames. An oily smoke poured out of the hole made by his autocannon, as well as a gout of steam. A loud grinding began to echo from deep within the metal monster.

Xir detected the injury to Beasts side and pumped some extra adrenaline from the adrenal glands for Beast to stifle the pain then released some extra platelets from Beast storage sacks to help stop the bleeding.
Using Beasts senses, Xir identified the Crushahs coming through the smoke.

Steven responding to Dav’s new order, runs up to the line with Dav and opens his whole arsenal on the center torso of the mega crushah, making sure that the biggest thing falls the hardest. Steven Hoped that the mega crushah might crush one of the smaller mecha underneath him, but that would not be the case. Focusing fire, damage piled up on the mega crushah engine, finally stilling the great monument to battle and conquest.

Now things were more serious, she felt safe near the back, not really in the front like the others but she knew if they were being asked then the heavy hitters needed a respite of some sort. Saying a small prayer to the gods she worshipped, she nodded, " Alright, understood." Aiyana messaged over. She said one final silent prayer before moving forward with her Mech. As she moved forward, she would work on reloading her gauss cannons and would start to fire at the big Crushahs that were coming out from the foggy smoke.

Muk moved Doomcrakka into position a little to the right and behind of Aiyana’s mech, leaving a clear line of fire between Doomcrakka and the smoke where the enemy would soon emerge. Since there was still time before the enemy passed the smoke, he aimed his Gauss Cannon at where he expected the enemy to emerge. He used the back of his arm to wipe the crap from his eyes. “Ready to kick em in da ass, bossman.” He reported.

"Ah ta ma da..." Lyon curses under his breath amidst the roaring cannons and the pattering of debris bouncing off his mech. Getting beat up by wealthy patrons seemed mild at this point. Where did things go so wrong? He threw the missiles he collected straight into the fog, using the now free arm to pick up another flat piece of Muk's scrapped hull, then barreled forward alongside Dav, sticking the flat pieces into the ground in front of his mech as makeshift barricades.

The rumble of five moving buildings vibrated the ground as they charged through the smoke.
As they emerged, telemetry data began to scroll across the secondary monitors, notating weapons, ammunition locations, and general armor status.

As soon as Muk could see the enemy, he unleashed everything he had on the second Crushah in the left group of the enemy line.

Once again, Muk released a missile volley, expending his remaining missile armaments. Dozens of missiles spewed forth, piranhas looking for blood. Over half of the missiles found their mark, Savaging armor from across the entirety of the enemy machine. a half second later, due to power supply issues, the gauss cannon fired striking the enemy in the left arm, shearing it off at the elbow.

Stabilizing his chassis by diverting power to the gyro, Dav took stock of the enemy formation. Sensing a damaged enemy, Dav focused on the mech Muk was firing at, looking to put down at least one enemy from the charging horde. Gauss cannon lead followed by the plasma cannons and missiles. Focused fire into the savaged right torso detonated the ammunition stores, Knocking the mech to the ground. Black smoke poured out from the mecha as it lay still. The Crushah closest to Dav recognized the experience of the pilot of the alien mecha and blasted Dav with its own arsenal of cannons and rudimentary lightning cannon. Fire Stripped armor from the center and left torso as Dav twisted the damage away from his heavy cannon.

Scott noted the damaged mech beside the mecha Dav and Muk put down and opened fire. Targeting the center torso, Missiles and energy crossed the battlefield. The lucky Atraxian pilot twisted to the left, tracking a charging Xir with his guns. This opened the relatively clean right torso to assault. The fire from Scott pounded the internals and removed the remaining armor over the right arm, shoulder, and torso.

Aiyana continued to shoot her cannons towards the smoke and the figures that were emerging from it. No hit registered from her firing computer. Her heart was pounding in her chest as she braced herself for the inevitable firing that she would feel soon.

Twin rotary cannons returned fire on Aiyana, Damaging her boxy shoulders with 5 cm rapid fire cannon rounds.

The second Crushah from the left group fired upon Xir, several rapid-fire autocannons belched fire and smoke. Several hits registered to Xir, as pain from armor piercing rounds scored hits to Beast's left flank. Then the mecha exploded, a ruptured coolant line spilling hot fluids over an already hot rotary cannon barrel and its ammo.

Xir then timed a full charge of Beasts weight and plowed into a Crushahs left leg from the right group just as it emerged from the smoke. Xir was careful not to collide on the side of Beast that is injured. Toppling into a heap of metal and muscle. Xir then began slicing into its Crushah with the cutting laser, damaging the right torso near the neck. In a panic from suddenly toppling over then having an enormous beast crouching on its chest, the enemy mech pushed back on Beasts left flank. A roar of pain was followed by a sick rending sound of metal and fluids as Beast shredded through the belly of the mecha with its rear claws. Seconds later the Jaws of Beast breached the cockpit buried within the Mecha, bisecting the pilot. This didn't stop beast, as only the complete and savage destruction of the offending party would sooth the raging animal.

Orange started charging forward as soon as the Crushahs started to emerge from the smoke aiming for the center torso of the closest one with its remaining chain saw arm. After reaching its target firing all remaining weapons at the legs of the crushah. Orange's chain saw arm bit deep into the center torso, flaying armor from across the belly. pinning the mecha in place, the remaining energy weapons from the mystery machine promptly amputated the left leg of the Crushah, sending it toppling to the ground on its face.

With no time to spare, Xir and Orange already charging forward with their melee weapons, Lyon could only defend himself by getting behind the scrap metal he planted into the ground, throw a handful of debris at the incoming Crushahs. Looking around, he pulled a lengthy piece of metal out from the sands, locked his mech's arms into a forward holding position, holding the scrap out forward with both arms like a spear. Then, the scoundrel slammed his eyes shut, clutching his controls and bracing for impact as he diverted all power of the mech into its legs. Fortunately, no mecha collided with Lyon. No mecha even fired upon him, a pool of tranquility surrounded by chaos and fire.

After doing firing into the Mega Crushah’s gut, Alex fired his jump jets again, using his laser weapons to cut away at the area he was stuck inside as he pulled out and away from the hole and attempted to land on solid ground. Armor melted from both the Puma as well as the Mega crushah as Alex's mech lifted itself from the burning structure. Alex landed safely beside the mountain of steel and ceramic with moderate armor damage to both legs as well as one of the plasma nozzles reading offline in the left leg.

Joshua sees the distance between the final Crushah and his team and sees his opening. With his remaining weapon, the gauss cannon, ready, he fires, aiming for center mass. The round streaks out, striking the enemy mecha in the right torso, damaging the armor there.

With his stealth systems continuing to retain heat along with his ECM covering his signature, Steven failed to account for the energy successive Alpha volleys would require from the fusion engine. With surprise, his AI "Liz" cheerily informed him his mecha would now shut down for safety. His Cockpit went dark as the power cut off, save for the Air conditioner blowing from behind the Command chair.

As the smoke cleared, Dav could take stock of the battlefield. Most of the Atraxian warband were dead or fleeing. Two hold outs fought on but were likely to be put down soon. While not necessarily the way the battle should be fought, A victory with no Forge deaths was a good one none the less.

Orange looked down at the crushah swinging its chain saw, thinking " Hmm I do need a new arm I think I will take yours moving around the weapon behind it and attempting to pierce it through with its own chainsaw arm. Orange missed as the fallen Crushah attempted to stand, one tube-like arm propping itself up while a chainsaw arm lashed out at the Mystery machine. As if protected by the hand of providence, the Chain saw of the Crushah shorted out, now nothing better than a heavy bar of steel rubbing the leg of the Mystery Machine.
With his enemy pinned underneath him, Orange sat upon the enemy machine. tons of steel crushed tons of steel, flattening the upper half of the smaller mecha. It then lay still, a testament to the savagery of desperate people in desperate situations.

The other Crushah returned fire upon the Aero frame, directing its cannons at the hovering gunship. Joshua’s cockpit flashed red from the incoming fire from the damaged crushah. Joshua slightly annoyed that the crushah won’t just die, attempted to evade the incoming fire. he turned his thrusters on and started doing evasive counter measures. Several cannon rounds struck the wing and fuselage, shattering armor and rattling Joshua like a Mexican jumping bean in a hot tin can. He turned the joystick of the aero frame to pivot until the cannon was in direct line of fire on the damaged right torso. After he has a clear shot, he launched a round towards the Crushah, missing wide to Joshua's left.

While allowing Beast to burn off a little of its adrenaline on this dead Crushah, Xir opened comms to everyone" let's make sure we don't have witnesses that might bring an entire Atraxian clan down on our heads in the future." Then Xir released another platelets sack just in case there was internal bleeding that Beast couldn't feel with its raging going on.

The remaining Battlewagon began to flee, the fear of death or the scorched red paint propelling the vehicle away at yet unseen speeds.

Alex was out of breath. Not from the physical exertion of battle, though sitting in the cockpit of a battleframe during battle was a sweaty affair which did leave one gasping for air. He began to give chase to the escaping battle wagon and fired his autocannons and energy weapons at it as it sped away while he attempted to bracket it with fire. Lasers and cannon shells reached out, caressing the damaged wagon. Hungry lasers vaporized the patchwork armor before multiple armor piercing high explosive munitions pierced the rear of the magazine, igniting a few dozen rounds of krak ammo. A new mushroom cloud appeared nearby, scattering small debris over the nearby dune.

Muk howled triumphantly at the mech he had taken down. He quickly searched for a new target worthy of his attention and turned to the right, noticing a mech with its torso armor damaged. At his instruction Doomcrakka surged forward, spinning up its chainsaw arm. He took a shot with the Gauss Cannon as he closed with the enemy and then spun the torso of his mech, swinging the chainsaw arm at the enemy. The round missed, Muk’s aim being insufficient to the task. The Chainsaw, however, was within Muk's wheelhouse of pain. The saw bite deep into the already damaged right torso, carving deep into the entire right side, a turkey sliced in half.

With adrenaline pumping through his veins, Lyon opened his bloodshot eyes and looked around the battlefield through the Lion's cameras, spotting the damaged Crushah the Doomcrakka was charging at. With a bestial fury overtaking him, the scoundrel cried out through the mic with a croaked voice, charging his own mech towards it, still holding the sharp piece of scrap he's been using as a weapon. Seconds later, Lyon collided with the dueling mecha, piercing the oversized cockpit of the Crushah with his makeshift spear. Green gore spewed out from the right side of the Mecha, dripping from the jagged end of the metal girder

Steven mad about the puma shutting down sarcastically respond to the AI "Liz" with a thank you. Steven then slumps over in his chair then says, "well damn" then proceeds to restart the engine of the Clad enforcer.

Aiyana was shaken some from getting shot at, but she knew it helped when she saw the rest of the Atraxians either fall or flee. She was pretty sure she didn't see anything else that needed to be exploded and so with that small bit of confidence she would turn on her comms again, " Hey...everyone alright? Anyone hurt?" she called over to the team to see how everyone was doing.

With all the enemy units destroyed, Scott let his mecha cool. Another battlefield he could walk away from, he thought. He hoped his luck would hold.

When Beast exhausted itself on the damaged hulk. Xir directed it to the soft hot sand to lay down. Xir gets out and immediately begins to assess for fatal injuries. Xir knows that anything fatal might need direct attention before Beast could be transported. With the 2nd dose of platelets, the wound stopped bleeding.

Dav Opens his comms to the team. "Good Job Black Forge. Take a minute and cool your mecha. I will contact the lifters to come and collect our bounty. It appears we may need to ride back the same way we rode out." Dav cut his comms before the torrent of moaning and groans could reach his ears.

The carryalls he hired would be able to carry back all the dropships as well as the large scrap from this battle. While it may take weeks to get this unit battle ready, the supplies and salvage would keep this unit in the black while our new home is repaired.
