[Star Dragon] Starbright

[Tony]

It felt like a fever dream for Aiyana. She had been enslaved for days and then forced to flee for her life. Then by some miracle of fate. Or magic as her people knew it, she was rescued by what could only be described as a ragtag assortment of Vagabond adventurers. Or to the more pessimistic observer, by homeless people. Aiyana and her fellow escapee "Midknight" as the Mercenaries dispatched her captors and quickly moved to get back to their ship. The other slaves that had been taken were on their own....The crew of the Chimera agreed that Aiyana could be returned home, for proper payment from her colony of course.

AIyana, Midknight, and Bronzi's crew formed a squad and boarded a small shuttle that at once began descending to the planet below. Sura, and the rest of the support group remained behind. The shuttle was cramped and filthy, and wouldn't be required had Aiyana's people responded to the Chimera's hails.

Bronzi stood holding the handle as the shuttle vibrated as it descended. The pilot was also the ship's cook, and was a wirey thin Bu QI named "Spoons". His claw-like hands danced over the controls as he focused on stabilizing the shuttle. "No response to the hails aye? "Y'know wot dat means eh? Fackin town got wrecked. Ain't gonna find nuffin but a buncha dead cunts and some babes screamin for mum's norks."

Bronzi, who was in full armor kit nodded. Then gave an grunt. "Don't matter much. If people survived den we are gonna see if they need transportin. If they didn't den were gonna salvage what we can and get." Bronzi then looked at Aiyana. "Not ta be rough but Spoon has da right of it. Scan suggest yer colony suffered heavy bombardment."

Aiyana was rather quiet, her mind replying everything and anything that had happened and she was just...numb. The only thing that she truly felt was mild discomfort in this shuttle with how small it was and that was about it right now. Even as people were talking, she was barely saying much at the present while she tried to find her voice again.

When she heard the one called 'Spoons' talking, it barely registered- even his crass language went unnoticed by her, that is until she was being spoken to by the one in armor. Slowly, she blinked and looked up at him, her iridescent eyes just staring at him for a moment as his words were slowly sinking in, " What attacked them?" she would ask, her tone a bit empty but they could hear a bit of emotion that slipped through as she naturally worried about her colony- the elf did not have any high hopes for her people at the moment but she could be wrong.

"If no one is alive, then what?" She asked, her body jerking around with the shuttle some as she would grip her knee's as she was trying to stay calm and not accidentally start a fire in here.

As the shuttle flys overhead and "spoons" gives his say on the matter Astila sits in the back of the shuttle sharpening his knife casually. "If they are all dead how are we getting paid boss....ammo isn't cheap?" Looking to the elvish girl he has a slight hint of regret in saying that picking up on her mannerisms. "Oh......you lived here....sorry." Even if Astilla meant that his monotone and still sharpening knife make it seems otherwise.

holstering his knife he directs his attention to Bronzi's "should i prepare in case we run into trouble down there boss?" he asks in a monotone voice to him before strapping on his various belts and harnesses to his chest before pulling out a set of bandages to rebandage his arm from earlyer with fresh bandages.

[Ham]

Monika took off her leather Unterraumboote jacket, draping it over the frightened Aiyana. "Herr Bronzi, are there any trails we can pick up from ze Chimera? Maybe ze are still fresh enough to get vessel types from." Her history in the Kaiserreich's Navy had taught her many things about subspace trails. A U-Boote needed to know what it was chasing for it to consider making a strike. Her eyes moved from Bronzi back down Aiyana and her odd fluffy companion.

"If no one is alive, when we get back to ze Chimera, you can borrow some of my extra clothes. Ze may not fit close, but ze are better than nothing." The Reichmänner's voice was harshly accented, but the look in her eyes and the calm, almost soothing tone was what made it easier to understand. "Anyways, see if ze Chimera can do life scans as well."

[Tony]

Bronzi was big for a Gartagen. Which meant that stood among the taller of the Reichmann. Broad chested and shouldered, The Gartagen looked capable of chopping a tree down with his bare hands. Yet he didn't, he waved his hand through the air as he spoke. "Nah. Didn' pick up anythin unusual. But dis gurl hea says dis is wea she's from, so im fixin on seein why nobody answered us when we said hello." Bronzi said as he shifted a disapproving glare at Astilla. "Salvage. If they are dead we are gonna take what's left."

Spoons piped up. "Oi, dick heads. Gettin visual on knify's fackin trailer park."

Bronzi loomed over Aiyana as he peered toward's Spoon's scanning display, which Spoons was nice enough to have projected before his passengers using the Shuttle's onboard holographic emitter.

The colony or what was left of it looked like it had experienced a major ground battle. It was littered with craters, and the wreckage was strewn about. Some of the buildings still stood, but others had been completely demolished.

Bronzi took a sharp breath as he processed what he was seeing. He then after a brief silence spoke. "We will drop ya off. I dunno. where ever."

"This was an elvish colony, right?" Midnight began. The Taianese woman - at least in body, but not spirit - was clad in a pair of cargo shorts and a tank top she had managed to rummage up, but was tense despite her casual attire. Tense enough to instinctively push her way forward and lean over the pilot's chair. Partially resting atop the pilot's head, she added, "In Vice, they say that elves are only good for one thing. And that's if we're lucky - if they're some sort of alien monsters that use people to breed, we'd be stepping into a complete and utter nightmare."

Grabbing the comparatively small Bu Qi by the shoulders and shaking him about, the top of his head rubbing back and forward under her bosom, she shouted, "Those poor people! You have to land! Right now!"

Aiyana was trying her best to not snap at the one called Spoons- they did help her but the things he was saying were making her bristle and debate on giving him a massive headache for the words he said. What she hadn't expected though was the coat to be put around her shoulders, her eyes looking over to her before she gave a small bow of her head, " Thank you, Miss." she told her.

"It is...there were people alive last time I was here," Aiyana told him as she then moved close to the hologram. She was staring at it, her eyes just darting around at what she saw. It looked like several bombs had been dropped and nothing showed that anyone was moving around or alive but there had to be someone- shouldn't someone be there still?

Her heart was pounding as she started to bite her inner cheek to keep from getting upset- she refused to do that right now because she was pretty sure she would send this shuttle crashing into the ground.

"There..." she said before clearing her throat some, "By the largest building that's still standing is a landing spot...should be a landing spot," she told Bonzi as she moved away and pulled on the coat. She needed to get out of this small space and get down there, she wasn't caring much at this point she had to see if anyone she knew was alive still but from the looks, she was expecting the worse.

"Yes, it is...was...is...this was where I grew up." She told the Taianese, " But lately we had been coming under more frequent attacks...I had been out just working on my garden when the attack came that had me taken but they didn't have the firepower to do this sort of damage...as far as I know." she told them as she was struggling to piece together the puzzle, " Please land...I don't care where but please." The elven female asked her tone borderline pleading at this point as she was struggling to keep her control.

[Ham]

Monika smiled warmly to Aiyana, "Bitte." Her eyes then went to the outside projections of pure and utter destruction. "Zis does not look like zimple zlavers. Zis ist heavy ordnance." She gave a concerned look to Bronzi before walking to the tail end of the shuttle where she had stashed her weapon of the day. She had no idea what group of slavers would even have an ounce of firepower that had been used here. Her fuzzy view of the sector's politics didn't help her decide if any of the major players were here either. There wasn't a calling card for them.

Walking back to the front of the shuttle with rifle in hand Monika ended up behind Aiyana again. She carefully chose her next words. "Let's get zis damned thing down. It zmells like zweat und verse."

Astilla perked up at the mention of monsters "Mabie these monsters you speak of will prove a better fight than those from earlier?" Astilla said with a hint of hope in his voice before he loaded a few canisters into his belt before loading his large weapon next to him with more of said canisters finally finishing up by hosting his knife "look at it this way miss if there are any of those slavers or monsters down there ill end them if you want."

[Tony]

Spoons growled impatiently. "Oi, Was plannin on landin. Bout to set her down." He said with his deep horse voice. Spoon's claw-like hands danced over the control station, and the shuttle lifted its nose. It began descending toward the colony. Spoon 's stopped the shuttle abruptly a meter above the surface of the planet.

The shuttle's rear doors hissed open. The shuttle filled with a putrid stench that was a mixture of burning wood, and everything else. "Everybody off!" Spoons said whirling around in his chair.

Bronzi nodded. "Circle the shuttle around, have Clinch mount the Laser mound and stay on station."

In a cargo net another Bu QI poked his snout out. He was laying down clutching a large laser rifle that appeared like it would be better fit on a vehicle. "Oi! One air superiority special comin up boss!"

[Aiyana_Aster]

Aiyana listened to what Monika said and she was keen on agreeing but then the question would be who would attack a colony who hadn’t done anything to anyone- at least as far as she was aware of things. Gripping the coat tighter to her body, she would just not at landing- she needed to see if she could find ANYONE that may be alive down there but the chances she felt were slim to none.

Astilla’s comment though made her turn a touch cold, “ If they are still there, then I have no issue with ending them myself…but…thanks for the offer.” she said, the last part more of a ‘i’m not mad at you i’m just upset at everything’ tone.

Aiyana would hold onto her spot as they started to descend, a million thoughts racing through her mind as to what she was about to walk into and she wasn’t sure she was fully prepared for it but now seemed to be the time to jump ship- according to Spoons at least.

The elven woman would walk over to the rear door and with only a momentary hesitation, she would hop out and take a few steps forward to look around. The smell of burnt wood and stone filled her nose but also along with the smell of burnt meat. Aiyana would cover her nose as she just started to walk straight, heading towards one of the destroyed buildings but stopped after about ten steps as the female was trying to not get sick and snap at the same time, “Who would have attacked us here?” she asked to anyone who might have been listening.

"Everybody off? Yeah right, it stinks!" the woman who fancied herself as Midnight complained. Waving a hand in a futile attempt to fan away the smell, she added, "It smells like nothing but rotten corpses and ash. That means whoever did this isn't the prisoner taking type," the buxom blonde realized, her feline ears drooping at the truly unpleasant thought. Despite her complaints though, Midnight made to follow Astilla out and about. "There's all sorts of things out there that'd do this, but I've never been interested in them, so I wouldn't know either," she admitted. "You have any idea where we're going by the way?" the 2nd Class Tigress asked.

[Ham]

Monika walked out the back of the shuttle and out into the ashy, depressing land that was once a place of living. Her weapon was shouldered and her pointed ears seemed to twitch with every sound. She walked up to Aiyana's side with a solemn expression and stayed around an arms length from her, protecting her. She let her weapon's muzzle fall down as she peered at the building. "Mein Gott... This wasn't an invasion, it was a slaughter. It smells like Atraxian work but they usually take prisoners as pets or something."

She looked to Aiyana and just felt bad. She was likely the only survivor they might find. She turned to the shuttle and barked out to the remaining people in the shuttle. "Let's see what we can find. Off the shuttle! Schnell!" She was hopeful that there were survivors, but this...

This was the devil's gate.

Astilla shrugged as he got off the ship walking with midnight, as he stepped off his foot sunk into whats left of something squishy. "Slaughter yes but I haven't seen many weapons or tech outside of my home world were something like this is done." As Astilla stepped out of whatever he stepped in he looks back to whoever hasn't stepped off "Watch your step unless you have a strong stomach." He said sternly as he held his canister rifle by his hip. He looked around as he walked keeping his head on a swivel.

[Tony]

Bronzi almost immediately responded to Midnight. "The Control Center." He said pointing to the largest of the ruined buildings. The Control center loomed over the rest of the central colony, though much it showed signs of battle damage. However, it was far from the first thing that was noticed. Charred corpses lay strewn about. From the pattern, the colony attempted to put up a fight, though it was obvious how the fight went.

"The control center is gonna have tha answers. But we know it wasn't Atraxians, or slavers." Bronzi said grumbling. He then pointed at Astilla. "Yer on point." Bronzi then spoke to Aiyana direct. "If yer fixin on stayin just give tha word." He added grimly. "Everbody get to movin. Check your corners, waste anything that moves. We can feel sorry for em lata."

[Aiyana_Aster]

Aiyana was just quiet as she shook her head. She had been no one of real import here, she helped and worked but also when trouble started and until she had been kidnaped she had started to hide from everyone because they could feel something was up but no one would have imagined this.

The thought of being the only survivor made her sick to her stomach as she could see charred remains of everyone that littered the ground, “ Its hard to lose anything in your stomach when you haven’t actually eaten so I’ll be fine…” Aiyana told Astilla- which was true, she couldn’t stomach food right now and if she ate she knew it wouldn’t stay down.

The question of her staying was met with a small shake of her head as she would point over to a massive pile of rubble, “ I lived past that way…it's all gone so…no I’ll help in the control center…I need to know who did this to my people- we hadn’t done anything to anyone…even if we had no one deserves to be turned into ash like this.” she said with a shake of her head before the elf started to walk towards the center. She was in a small daze but was focused for the moment on finding out who or what she needed to attack to show that they hadn’t killed everyone, that they were going to be regret laying waste to her people here.

Aiyana would try to be mindful to stay within the group, she didn’t know what she would do right now but running off into ruins and dead bodies would not be the smartest thing on her part.

Astilla Grumbled slightly to himself as he took point wading threw the field of corpses starring only breify at the various burnt and slagged environment. In the back of his mind he couldn't help but think to himself 'just remember your doing this so your young can grow up nicely'. Without taking his eyes off the location they were headed Astilla asked "So who's up for bbq after this?"

[Ham]

Monika shot a pitch-black glare in Astilla's direction. "That is a terrible thing to say. It's insensitive and disgusting." She shook her head before going back to looking through the destroyed buildings and rubble while trying not to step in any corpses. Her eyes continuously swept the remains of buildings, the jagged parts and pieces forming their own new, hell-spawned skyline. She didn't want to leave the poor elf alone to walk through what was her home. She could only imagine what it felt like to be in her mind. Monika turned to look at Bronzi and barked out. "I'll take the back end, keep us all together!"

Without missing a beat, Monika placed a warm and calm hand on Aiyana's shoulder. "I'm right here with you if you feel faint. What was your name again, fräulein?"

"Ah, right!" Midnight replied to Bronzi. Pressing forward with the others, the thought of what could happen to them sent chills down her spine, but even so, she wondered something else. The woman prodded and poked at the bodies as she went, hoping to find a weapon that she could use. If there weren't any at all, it'd be telling of their predicament to say the least. "Er, barbecue?" Caught off guard, one of the Taianese woman's feline ears held itself low as another stood up high inline with how she tilted her head to the side. "You know, I'm not sure how to feel about that. The brutality is there, but it feels kinda immature," she thoughtfully replied. "Maybe after an action sequence where you burn someone alive with a flamethrower. You know. Like one of those old movie one-liners," Midnight suggested, the thought making her feel warm all over.

[Tony]

The group had been walking as they bantered. It was actually something Bronzi took issue with because it meant that everybody was at ease. It was probably something he thought he should have corrected them on. But they weren't soldiers. Maybe at one point, but not anymore. Bronzi clenched his jaw and held off on dressing them down, but he would have to work with this little band about professionalism in the field.

Bronzi was holding a Vice produced particle rifle and leveled it at the nearby tree line. "Hrm."

Astilla then saw some of the brush rustles. For a brief second, he saw a dim light flash. The light of a Laser rifle as it primed.

[Aiyana_Aster]

Hearing how calm and well carelessly Astilla had spoke, it instantly made the elf bristle, her body language changing as she started to clench and unclench her fish in response. A part of her wanted to hit him but the normal and still somehow sane part of her told her that it wasn’t worth her time to lay him on his ass.

She would walk carefully, her bare feet turning black from the soot as she stepped over the dead. Her heart was aching at this point but she nearly jumped out of her skin when she was touched, jerking slightly in reflex before settling at the female voice, “Aiyana…I don’t feel much at the moment…anger…sadness…but not that but…thank you.” she told her with a small bow of her head.

Aiyana listened to Midnight's ponderings over what could have happened here and she honestly had no clue at all. She wasn’t here and that was the only thing that spared her from this fate but now she was clueless on how to help- save getting to that building.

She was lost in her own thoughts still when she heard Bronzi make a sound, her head turning to look at him and then see him leveling his rifle at the treeline, "What..." she asked him, her voice catching in her throat some.

Astilla eyebrows raise slightly "ambush contact treeline, covering fire!!" he yelled out before he began firing a volley of air burst canister shots near the treeline. after he was done with the volley he moved back to shield the nearest person with his body. yelling to Bronzi he exclaimed "target has a laser rifle unknown how many more their are!" his heart was mildly racing as he fired off another volley twords the treeline.

[Ham]

Monika yelled out but was cut off by Astilla's fire. "NO! They could be survivors! Schieß!" The Reichmänner had little in the way of cover available to her and if this devolved into a gunfight she'd need to move hard and fast into the rubble. She had the feeling that it couldn't be slavers or pirates, there were no ships in orbit and there were only corpses here. She only hoped that was the case, but with their colleague's quick burst of fire, there might not be a case for them to find out.

"Aiyana, stay close to me. We're going to that set of rubble there." She gestured with her head, kept a hand on her shoulder, and began a sprint for cover. Her footfalls were heavy enough to kick up dust and ash. Once they both reached cover she barked out to the brutish Kiwomian.

"If you end up killing survivors I will personally vent you into space one limb at a time!" Her voice cracked on the last word, the woman's normally calm expression suddenly white hot.

[Tony]

Bronzi snarled. "Wait! hold your fire!" Bronzi said rushing towards Astilla and nearly knocking Aiyana down. Sombitch! I SAID HOLD!" Bronzi bellowed. His heavy voice audibly heard through the deafening chatter and booming reports of Astilla's crude airburst weapon.

Astilla's weapon had shattered the tree line. Trees toppled, splinters had been sent in all directions. Panicked voices could be heard they were surprised and scared. Then a laser beam did actually exit the tree line. It fired over Astilla's location. Then another. And another. Bronzi snarled "Damn it! Light em up!" He called as he lifted his weapon and opened fire into the tree line.

Astilla would stop firing when Bronzi ordered him to and got that 'oh fuck look' on his face when Monika suggested they could be survivors. As the lasers started to be fired back
his body did not register the laser shot that just made its way threw his forearm due to Adrenalin but with that worm wet feeling on his arm he knew he was hit. when Bronzi ordered to return fire he would aim at the ground around the treeline "if this does turn out to be survivors Monika you have my promission to do just that." watching as the dirt and dust would kick up from his rounds he could't help but think 'I hope if these are survivors I didn't kill any my mate would never forgive me for that if i did..'

[Aiyana_Aster]

Aiyana was just trying to figure out what was going on when the firing started, her eyes going wide as she had a flicker of hope that maybe there WERE survivors- until Astilla started to fire. "NO!" she screamed as she was knocked on the ground, her arms covering her head as she kept shaking her head as tears burned in her eyes now, "STOP! JUST STOP!" she screamed out as their side stopped firing for a brief moment until the ones in the tree's started to fire back.

She pulled herself behind some rubble as she curled up, hiding from the shooting that was going on, she would just cover her ears, frozen in a mix of fear and anger. The stronger emotion of anger started to bubble up and she would start to heat up, focusing her energy into her hands until she would get up and fling a basketball-sized fireball into the tree line that would burst and explode on impact. Sliding back behind the rock, she pressed the coat against her bleeding nose, her heart pounding as her people would be familiar with psionics and if it was them they may stop-may.

"Whaaaaa!" Crying out in surprise, Midnight had quickly darted for cover. However, as things got worse and worse, her ears and then her eyes settled on Aiyana. Though her mind was awash with all the things that were likely gonna happen to them, she couldn't help but feel a pang of pain at seeing the woman start to break down. Scrambling from cover to cover with super-human agility, the Taianese woman settled down into the ground next to the elf. "It's ok, it's ok!" she possibly lied, trying anything to get Aiyana to calm down. Reaching out despite laying in the dirt herself, she tried to embrace the woman and hold her close. "Just calm down, everything's gonna be fine!"

[Tony]

The wood promptly exploded into flames shortly after Aiyana had summoned forth the energy to release the spell into it. The thunderous explosions were swiftly followed by pain-filled shrieks. Their pleading and wails accented cut through the brief moment of carnage and prompted Bronzi to hold throw his right hand up into a fist. "Cease firing we got em!" growled loudly.

Spoons called up over the radio. "Oi. Scannas is sayin ya in a gun foight down der. Im fuggin comin round for air suppoet. Also. Managed ta find da fukkin transport. Readin as an alliance shuttle or somefing."

Bronzi paused. "Shit."

He then turned to Midknight, Aiyana, Astilla and The Frau. "Congratulations team, we might have just wasted a damn an alliance rescue team."

[Aiyana_Aster]

Calming Aiyana down seemed easier said than done, she was freaked out, only attacking because someone else had and she prayed it wasn't her people. No, it turns out it was just another rescue team and her teammate was fricken trigger happy. She wiped and smeared some of her blood on her face as she looked at Midnight- even though she was shaking still- and gave her a hug before pushing herself up and walking over to Astilla, grabbing him down to her height so that she could slap him hard across the face.

"Fuck you! Why the hell did you start shooting! This place may be a wasteland now but damn it there is a chance that someone besides me MAY have survived, did you think of that before you went all trigger happy? NO! Now because of you, we killed INNOCENT PEOPLE. Let that sink in before you start shooting off that fucking gun again." Aiyana all but screamed in his face. It was rather obvious she was angry and upset and he pushed a button with her but the heat that was radiating off of her body gave off enough of a warning that said she will melt this place to slag if it happens again.

"Damn it...we need to get to the tower...I can turn on any of the computers or tech if its still working or charged...lets go...please." Aiyana asked as she shoved the man away from her and walked back over to Midnight, the elf not really calm or angry just trying to cope with all this crap.

Be it Adrenalin or whatever magic flows threw her tiny veins Aiyanna pulled Astilla down and smacked him and berated him on his actions. "Are you done? no offence but that is how it happens i acted on instinct i saw their rifle primed and from our distance its not like yelling to them would be beneficial however if you were paying attention none of my shooting connected with people to my knowledge as my goal was to suppress the treeline while we can get out of open field to cover......however your fireball attack seemed to roast the lot of them." Astilla calmly stated as he got up from his lowered position and began taking point again heading for the building they were originally headed to.

"Hold on, shouldn't we check on them first?" Midnight perked up from beside Ayana. The woman had started tossing fireballs which reflected in her eyes like bright orange-red lights, something she hadn't really ever seen in person. But despite the initial surprise, it wasn't all that different in effect from someone tossing a grenade. "The tower can wait, but if anyone's hurt over there, they're going to need help," the blond pointed out. Even after all these years, magic was a strange and foreign thing to Taianese and Alliance alike, but at least it was known. And she also knew that healing magic was a thing. "Can't you heal them?" she asked.

Astilla stopped and grumbled "depending if there burs are just like fire burns or and not some magical bs i could potentially heal them." taking out a small sachel on his belt heseemed to be counting "okay i have enough herbs and cream to help with about 2 people with chemical and fire burns and plant fiber stiches with bone needle to stich up wounds. it was enough for me but given that notion 2 people is about all i can do without leaving me with nothing."

Monika shook her head to Midnight, "It's too risky. If anything, this just put a timer on our touchdown. We need to get to this tower." Her mind was racing, Alliance teams were always quick to act when fired upon but it wasn't in their nature to shoot first unless ordered to. She swallowed hard for a moment thinking that an entire team could have been killed just because of a rookie's mistake of priming and aiming. It was something anyone could do. It was something she would do.

Her eyes laid on Ayana for a moment before she looked to Astilla with fire in her eyes. She closed the distance quickly until she practically was breaking her neck to look him in the eye. "Priming is not firing. Alliance sells civilian versions of their weapons. Weapons like those rifles," an accusing finger jabbed out towards the burning treeline, "are common place on frontier worlds. Next time you get us all jumpy like a bunch of Kinder with machine guns and two much energy I will skin you alive and make you into bratwurst links. Verstehen?"

This was one of the few times the Hauptmann came out in Monika. Everyone always seemed to forget her last post was Chief of the Boat on one of the Kaiser's hunter-killer boats.

"Do. You. Understand. Me." The ice blonde was not one to be left waiting.

Astilla would look down at the women "no, because like it or not we could play the blame game all day but at the end of the day i engaged due to seeing a laser being primed from the treeline and with my training especially with the war zone kicked up between my people and the Tai pan i learn not to take chances if you want to wait to get shot at by a man or women with a bead on you fine by me but i wont go down like that. you had me take point anyway so regardless of the outcome ill take the heat for the issue but i dont regret what i did." For her size and height, she was strong and the grip on his clothing did help her yank him down to her height. She glared at him, “This is not some war zone anymore, there have been no signs of other life and you just…pulling the damn trigger didn’t bloody help.” she snapped, “I know what I did- to make it stop and next time this happens I will aim one at you- do not test me right now.” she snapped at him. She didn’t like him.

The question from Midnight made her nod some, “Yes…half the reason they wanted me was because of my skills.” she told her rather quietly. Her adrenalin was still pumping and mix that with all the crap she had been through this week it was building up inside her.

Hearing him talk about the burns, her eyes rolled some and shook her head some, “If any of you get hurt while here I will heal you…you though I might tell you to fend for yourself.” she said rather softly- can’t get along with everyone it seems but she knew she would tend to him as well, even if she didn't like him.

As the arguing continued, she would keep wiping at her nose, rubbing away the still wet blood as she was trying to keep that annoying side effect out of sight. “I know I probably should have thought more than reacting but I was not raised on fighting you were though…you know better than to fire when nothing has fired at you- a survivor of Tai Pan or not. Astilla let the small elf girl pull him down to her level staring back at her coldly "you sure? the bodies the craters and the ones in the treeline? this sure looked like a ambush or war zone." Astilla pulled himself free of Aiyana's grasp "you don't have to tend to my injury's if you don't want to I've been taught to be self sufficient since birth so it matters not." pulling a small pistol from his hip holster and a small satchel of ammo "here, you may or may not need this but it would be easier on my mind if you were able to protect yourself. you may not like me nor can i say the same about you but my people keep their words i told you back when we first picked you up ill watch out for you and i intend to keep my word even if it kills me."
