The Money Money, Yo!

As Dav began to guide the newest recruits into the "borrowed" Pou Nan Yie Orbital Attack Gunship, he clicked his helmet into command mode and did a comms check.

"Testing comms. All members check in." Dav said

Xir steps up into the gunship after checking on it's  Bio-mecha.  Xirs friend is comfortable in the drop ships isolated hanger.  Xir noticed the obvious space the maintenance crew gave to Xir's friend.  With it being isolated in a corner hanger no one but a few had seen it yet.
With the the slightly modified humanoid comms unit, thanks to Steven, that is secured to the helmet of Xirs bio-armor, Xir sounds off "Xir... makes... ready...".  Xir is hunkered down, buckled into gun ship cargo straps since humanoid seats don't fit Xir.  Xir is rather impressive in it's  combat gear, being about 6 inches taller then usual and adding about 3 inches to Xir's already large body dimensions.  The obviously bio-engineered armor, has jet black reptilian scales that covers its entire body except for a smooth exoskeleton helmet.  The helmet was still left loose fitting on Xir's skill bones so it can talk.  Anchored to Xir's left forearm is a folded 3 foot long vambrace that circularly unfolds into a 6 foot wide circular shield made of hardened deflective material.  In the right hand Xir carries a 30 lb maul that has a 4 foot shaft handle.  The maul has a biological look to it, like all the other gear, with a slight blue lit outline on the maul head.  Lastly on Xir's left shoulder is mounted some kind of bio-engineered firearm, manipulated by a tentacle, with what looks like a snake structured body connecting the weapon to a shell encased sack on the back of Xir.

Xir then contacts it's Bio-mecha using their own communication method.  Xir instructs the Mecha to do a drop from the drop ship on command, and then to go stealth mode outside the enemy compound until called for pick up.

Xir opens the comm again to Dav.  "Dav...  please... release... my... friend... from... your... cargo... bay... on... the... drop ship... at... 5000 ft... or... when... ever... is... appropriate."

As Steven gets into the cargo ship, he enters in with a blue and black backpack. He enters and sits himself down taking his back pack down In the process, with his usual sweat jacket on but he has a shoulder pad on his left side with a strap going across his chest.  Steven puts in the com and looks at his wrist pad making sure it works, Steven say " Dave I'm ready to go, chips are ready. come and get them when your ready."  Steven then puts on a helmet then look at his wrist as if checking connection. Steven unzips his bag and he pulls out a slick blue and black laptop with a  dragon sigil the front of it lighting blue as he turns it on. Steven says into the comms " let me know when you want me to start my part" as he gives a devilish grin.

After Joshua gets his combat suit on he connects the comm to his helmet and he puts it on after he puts it on he clicks a button on the right side of his helmet and says "here you loud and clear sir" as Joshua is walking to the gunship he straps his tactical left thigh holster on. When he reaches the gunship he jumps into the pilot seat and plugs a jack into the dashboard of the gunship and watches thing start to setup on the HUD of his helmet when it finishes he starts the gunship up to go and checks whats the ammunition level it at and other stuff to and clicks the comm button and says "gunships ready to take off when ever you are Dav and happy hunting guys".

After loading the pilot and crew into the aeroframe, the troopers locked into acceleration couches, Dav settled himself into a chair. Plugging a jack into the arm of the chair, telemetry data began to scroll across the HUD of his helmet. After a quick inspection of his team's vitals, cabin pressure, and a number of other command minutiae, he asked Joshua to launch. The light mounted near the aft bay door shifted from green to red as multiple G's pushed the new members of the black forge down. The sudden shift as the Aeroframe launched from the dropship pushed Dav into his chair. Dav queried the pilot, "How are we looking, Josh?" He replied, "In the pipe, five by five, boss. ETA to drop point 7 minutes."

Xir felt the G forces on its body increase but still barely noticeable.  Looking at the other crew, it was noticed the varied responses to the pressure increase had in the humanoids.  To Xir this wasn't anything, to them some seemed effect only a little, while others a very great deal.  Xir needs to take note of this in the next report.

After the time had passed, the red light changed again, this time to yellow. The signal to unstrap and make their way to the back of the gunship. With the timer in Dav's HUD counting down, the aft door slide open on silent magnetic rails. The roar of wind cycled throughout the compartment, causing the aeroframe to shake. Dav steadied himself on a roof hand rail, little more than a tack welded metal pipe. Striding towards the open void, collapsed rifle on his back, Dav ordered, "Disembark the transport, two by two. Xir, you bring up the rear." With that, Dav pushed a small pallet of gear out of the gunship and jumped out of the gunship behind it, quickly followed by a half dozen black suited persons.

Steven looking at the door as it fell began to have a rush of adrenaline and a smirk began to appear on his face as began a full run off the ramp.

After the rest jumped, Xir did as ordered and took up the rear leaping out the door.

With a skill born from many similar missions, Dav lead the team glided through the thin clouds, contrails forming from the minimal resistance off of one of the lead members. Two, trailing a few hundred feet behind the lead operator, noticed the disturbance and activated her comms, "Tighten it up, Eight. They don't have commercial flights on this part of the planet." Almost immediately, the man made cloud streamers dissipated. A few moments later, the transport chirped in Dav's ear, the signal for the long deceleration burn.

Steven feeling the soaring air around him and the g-force of the planet, the adrenaline rush still overcoming his body, he was quite excited about dropping on the LZ and doing his job. He saw Dav he he began to follow him

Xir free fell behind the rest, watching them move and adjust into formation. Xir couldn't communicate with the rest of them (because of the wind), but the conversation could be heard in the humanoid comm. When they began to use their thrusters to slow, Xir activated it's gravity point from the armor to slow the accent at the same rate as them, staying above them. Xir then contacted the Bio-mecha using their communication method, and told it to prepare to orbital drop with the rest of the heavy equipment and to guard it until called in.

Xir continues in its controlled fall above the rest of the unit scoping out the landing area and surrounding area. With no noticeable sign of enemy patrols, Xir then focuses in on the enemy base. Identifying which buildings are big enough to house the frames while simultaneously taking visual note of which are likely the barracks and security stations.

At 600 meters, The chutes on the supply pallet opened automatically. The operators quickly followed suit, black ravens circling their prey.
At about 200 feet Xir speeds up his landing to beat the rest of the unit to touching ground, to secure the ground position. Just before Xir's feet touch ground the soil and sand rise up under it into the air about 2 feet then falls again when Xir's feet makes ground contact. Xir uses one of its testicles to direct and control the shoulder weapon, Xir quick but smoothly moves to a rock cover position. Xir then focuses in on the base perimeter to watch for patrols.

landing in perfect formation around the pallet, one corner crumpled from a slight shift in the load upon landing.

One, the leader of the team, squelched a quick message to the transport. "Team down, no casualties. Proceeding with mission."

Dav quickly divided his team to their pre-assigned tasks. Some began parceling the supply pallet, others gathered the synthetic spider-silk chutes and repackaged them. Even the pallet was broken down and reformed into heavy duty frame packs. In minutes, only the slightest scuff marks on the ground indicated something had occurred in the clearing.

Touching helmets together, Dav gave concise orders born from long practice. No unnecessary transmissions. As little sound as possible.

Always better to be safe than sorry, he thought.

Xir speaks to Dav when helmets were touching, "Dav... do... we... know... if... any... frames... are... out... on... patrol?"

Dav responded, "unknown, brother. Once we are on the move, Have the heavy gear begin descent via drop ship."

Soon, the team split up and headed out in pairs to complete their respective assignments. Some for support, some for equipment set-up, and some for stealth insertion.

When the order was called out, Scott followed the command. With an excited smile painted across his face. He free fell with the group of people in the same black uniform. He landed like the rest of the squad quickly getting his chute off. He helped out with the reforming of the pallet.

Dav began leading the teams towards the pirate base, when a noise sounded up ahead.

The sound of harsh laughter reached through the trees followed by a thump. A few moments later a little green guy ran out of the trees, spotted the team, and darted back into the trees.

Not long after a massive Atraxian in plates of armor held together by duct tape pushed through the trees. His face was exposed, the front half of a deer hung from his mouth. He gripped a big gun that looked as shabby as his armor in both hands, though it wasn’t aimed at Dav and crew. On closer inspection it looked like three 50 cal BMGs welded together and upscaled to fit his hands. Spikes that served no real purpose lined the outside.

The Atraxian used his left hand, which was a metal pincer, to push the deer into his mouth and swallowed without chewing. “Wut took ya s’long, boys?” He asked. Then he let out a loud belch. Behind him, five man-sized Atraxians and a little one filed out. They wore plates of armor strapped to their chests and back and carried a variety of melee weapons. The little guy was the only other one with a gun. He held a small rifle in his hands.

Xir opens comms " Captain... we... have... Atraxians... here. Where... you... expecting... them?" Xir redirects his shoulder weapon towards the new comers and makes ready its maul hammer for a fight. It is well known that Atraxians have a quick temper and are fast to challenge.

"Stand down Xir, these Atraxians are on our side...at least as much as any Atraxian can be on someone's else's side." Dav explain s to Xir.

"Greetings Muk. Are you ready to cause a distraction?" Dav asked.

Muk grinned. He didn’t know many big words, but he was familiar with the word distraction. “We’z got ya, boss,” Muk said as he turned to his boys.

“C’mon, lads! Time ta show dose fellas what we can do!” He bellowed. The gathered minions cheered and danced around and chanted. “Ere we go! Ere we go!”

With a roar, Muk charged towards the front gate of the pirate base, minions following close behind.

Dav signaled the teams to continue infiltrating towards the pirate base confident Muk wouldn't double cross the black forge...at least not yet. There was still a lot of trust to build in this fledgling company.

Xir relaxed its weapon and began to move towards the pirate base again taking mental note to keep track of this new team member and his little minions.

Xir opened comms again. "Captain... I...think... I... identified. .. their... barracks. Do... you... want... my... friend... to... take... it... out... to... reduce... their... reinforcements?

"Have your friend begin descent after the first trans orbital strike happens." Dav replied.

"Yes... Captain" Xir contacted his friend telling it to stand by for orders to drop. Xir could tell it's friend getting nervous for battle and the adrenaline is starting to pump.

Xir continued to stealthy move towards the base slightly ahead of the rest of the team but making sure not to leave them behind.

"Joshua, your first target will be the main barracks. One of the team will light it up with IR designation." Dav ordered Joshua, trusting his gunnery and piloting skills to handle this issue

Two clicks over the gunship comms line indicated an affirmative on the order.

Scott over listening to Dav's order yo Joshua. He then focused entirely on his work. Finishing up the last of the pallets with his group. He sighed solemnly stretching for a moment as he looked towards the rest of the people. He wanted to get some action too, maybe he might receive some type of other order soon, but for now best from him to be prepared for anything.

Xir pops in on the comms, and brings its tentacles to the skull bones. "Scott... you... are... being... left... behind... brother. Catch... up... and... cover... my... rear. lets... get... in... the... base... so... you... guys... can... take... the... mecha."

Scott hesitated for a moment, before he nodded moving quickly along in an attempt to catch up with the infiltration squad. "Sorry.. I was a little lost in thought.. I won't let it happen again." He says as he watches the rear as instructed. Keeping his eyes on the area behind them. His gun in hand just in case he'd need to use it.

Steven followed behind, lost in his own thoughts. "Eggheads" Dav thought, using the ancient military term for those who are best at thinking rather than doing.

As Xir noticed the charging of the front gate by the Atraxians, all thought of stealth just went away. So Xir focused the shoulder weapon to provide cover fire and unfolded the Arm shield to hide behind for defense before following 50 feet behind the Assault on the gate. "Captain... I... hope... you... have... your... sniper... in... place... For... support... fire... or... to... ping... the... barracks. This... will... get... busy... real... fast."

In the depths of the deep coniferous forest rested an old supply depot repurposed for use as a pirate haven. A large ferrocrete warehouse and small munitions bunker were surrounded by a dozen ramshackle buildings, little more than collections of flotsam discarded by the sea several miles to the west. While the old growth of the trees ended 100 meters from the base, new growth and dense underbrush grew as close as a few meters from the edge of the perimeter fence. Large gouges in the ground, presumably made by large armored giants, as well as small trees ripped from the ground near the fence surrounded the base.
The fence surrounding the base, more imaginary than reality, was old school chain links topped with rusting razor wire. the dozen buildings surrounding the ferrocrete mech hangar and munitions bunker looked weathered, a mix of stucco and mud bricks. A dozen pirates could be seen at several guard shacks around the perimeter.

With the loud crashing about amplified by a small herd of green vandals, the gate guards moved from their position around a small, weathered card table covered in various mismatched chips and playing cards, the staple of infantry everywhere. Readying their battle rifles, old bolt action weapons with more rust than steel showing, the pirate guards edged out from the old wooden shack.

With the Atraxians off to war, Dav signaled Scott to light up the building that seemed to be the main barracks, the large two story bungalow near the munitions bunker.

Rather than split up his boys, Muk charged towards the fence in front of a guard shack to the left of the gate with the little guy on his shoulder. When he decided he was close enough, Muk slowed and raised his gun. He leveled it at the shack and fired, shooting a barrage of hot lead from three barrels.

the rapid fire from the triple heavy machine guns shredded the light wooden shack to the left, a cloud of pink mist and flames spout from the back.

The other Atraxians used his fire as cover to reach the fence, though they gave him a wide berth to avoid getting shot. They chopped and slashed at the fence, attempting to get through. One of them stopped, seemed to think about something, then he walked up behind another Atraxian and clubbed him over the back of the head.

He proceeded to pick up the unconscious Atraxian and fold him over the rusted wire. Then, this Atraxian attempted to climb over the fence using his comrade to shield himself from the wire.

As Xir saw the Atraxian climbing over each other on the rusted wire he couldn't help but think. That's why you never turn your back on them. Xir started to open fire from the shoulder gravity bio-gun at another guard shack to the right of the gate down the perimeter. Xir continued to move towards the opening in the fence the Atraxians are making while Xir opens fire on the wooden shack to the right. It is a slow rate of fire but obviously does a lot of kinetic impact damage based on the massive holes entering and exiting the shack.

The guard shack targeted by Xir with weapon fire transmuted into a wooden Swiss cheese, huge chunks of particle board and thin scraps of patchwork materials flying away. Several humanoids scrambled out of the debris, their willingness to combat such firepower clearly not up to the demands of this firefight.

upon getting the signal,Scott raised the laser, Lighting up the building as a target for others.

With a steady hand, Scott points the small IR laser on the building believed to be the main barracks. A moment later, the roar of a supersonic vehicle passes overhead, followed by a high pitched whistling.

Readying a rifle, Dav set up to cover the barracks and to protect his "Eggheads".

Upon the hearing of the high pitch whistling Xir stopped and knelt down behind the unfolded shield to hide behind. Facing the direction of the barracks. "Take... cover. That... building... will... be... gone... in... a... moment." Xir hopes that pilot is a good shot.

As Steve lands on the ground he looks at his tapper while expecting to take a blast from the barracks.

The whistle in the sky quickly increased to a high scream.
Followed by a loud boom. A small flash of orange blossomed in front of the building followed by a shock-wave. What little glass was left in the windows was instantly shattered. A large cloud of dust and debris expanded from the impact. The front side of the building was shredded by an enormous grater, but still stood. A millisecond later the shock-wave from the bomb knocked an Atraxian off his feet causing several to star whooping and cheering. Moments later small arms fire began to emanate from inside the building towards the Atraxians. Xir being partially in cover was overlooked as a target for revenge. Dav and Scott began to feel some vibrations in the ground. Company was coming.
Dav screamed in his mic to Xir, "Time to get in gear. Muk's boys can keep those pirates busy for a few. Cover our backs while the pilots jack some hardware"

Xir opened comms to the drop ship. "Let... my... friend... out ...of... the... cargo... bay." Xir contacts it's friend telling it to create cover fire while dropping and pick me up after landing. We have a lot to do to keep their reinforcement busy while the pilot's get in the hangers.

As ordered the drop ships cargo bay door slowly began to open. At this point Xir's friends adrenaline was through the roof. The bio-mecha no longer could contain it's self. It pushed itself through the door while still only half open, doing minor damage to the hydraulics. As the bio-mecha was free falling through the atmosphere towards the base it could see quickly approaching, it's master and team, 4 other Mecha on the ground. As the ground quickly approached it could see more detail on the 4 approaching mecha, a Lion, a Puma, and two tigers.

As its instinct to protect its master kicked in, The bio-mecha skin went from a blue/grey appearance to a sky color to blend with its surroundings. As the ground got even closer It zeroed in on one of the center mecha, the lead tiger of the unit, and discharged its cutting laser from its tail in attempt to hit the mech Center Mass.

With the surprise attack from the falling Bio-mecha, the Tigers pilot failed to respond to the cutting beam attack. Like a hot knife slicing cheese, the cutting beam lopped off the mech's right arm and part of the right torso. With the loss of nearly 15 tons of structure, armor, and equipment, the tiger toppled to the ground, deep furrows gouged into the hillside.

Muk barely heard the incoming bomb over the deafening roar of his BMGs. He was momentarily stunned by the blast, ears ringing with tinnitus.

As the smoke began to clear, Muk checked his ammo. He had one more burst before he’d have to use the gun as a club. He started moving again, barreling right through the fence without stopping.

“Out da way, lads!” He growled, barely giving the other Atraxians time to dive to the ground before he blasted the barracks through the hole in the building.

A scream from inside the building indicated at least one pirate was hit by Muk's fusillade.

The return fire from the barracks/bungalow was half hearted and largely ineffective.
One of the Atraxians took a bullet to the iron chest plate, knocking him to the ground.. The one that had been thrown off his feet got up and as one they resumed their charge, weapons held high.

Getting his hacking apparatus up and running, Steven opened the small security door on the side of the Mecha Hanger.

Joshua began banking the gunship, arming the laser and particle cannons. Soon, he would begin his strafing run on the active pirate Mecha

Dav returned fire on the barracks, sighting through the windows with his rifle. Pop pop pop, his rifle sounded, though no screams of pain echoed back from his rifle fire.

The return fire against the falling bio-mecha was mixed as flames and coherent light belched from the arms and shoulders from the remaining upright mecha. A solid hit from a large particle beam injured the Bio-mecha, burning its left torso causing a flat spin as it fell in the sky.

The bio-mecha used a gravity point to gain reorientation and slow its decent to the ground. It landed a little harder then it would have liked but it landed firmly about 50 yards from Xir. The Bio-mecha crouched down to lower it silhouette from being targeted as easy. The tail cannon also was directed towards the remaining Mecha and the lens set itself for point defense while waiting for Xir to arrive. While waiting, the Bio-mecha just began to notice the burning pain in its left torso. The injury was superficial, beam mostly absorbed by the dermal layer, but it still hurts non-the less.

Xir recognized the likely landing location and began sprinting towards it. When it saw the bio-mecha land and immediately went to a defensive crouch position for Xir to board, it knew this would be one of the most dangerous times. The danger would be because of the vulnerability of lack of movement on the part of the Bio-mecha. And there was already noticeable black burning damage on the left torso. Xir knows it couldn't get hit there again and it not cause serious muscle damage or worse injury to an organ. The bio-mecha must have instinctually known this because the burn is being kept away from the direction of the enemy mecha.

Dav switched his rifle to full auto, shooting at the window openings of the bungalow in an attempt to cover Xir and the others moving towards their respective battlemechs.

Joshua sees Xir sprinting toward The Bio mech and holds a steady clean view of the pirate stronghold and lays down a hellfire of his Quad Maxim Machine guns on both sides of the gunship for a total of 8 maxim machine guns. Before Joshua started his hellfire barrage he says in his mic "Xir, stay down low. I'll provide you cover fire, my friend. Hopefully, they don't get courageous, cause this is going to hurt like hell if they do." Joshua broadcasted on the chat and made everyone else aware of what he was doing to make sure no one was getting in the firing zone.

With a squeeze of the trigger, fire erupts from the side ports of the Pou Nan Yie gunship. A storm of fire doused the building in metal flechettes, catching the building on fire from the power of kinetic energy.

The Pirate Mecha stopped to help their fallen comrade back to its feet, taking a moment to asses the movement of this new aggressor. Sighting their weapon pods on the gunship, two of the mecha take aim and fire. A spread of guided missiles erupts from a shoulder pod on the lion class mecha, a hungry corkscrew of death spiraling towards the strafing gunship. Joshua, with alarms klaxoning in his cockpit, activates his countermeasures and activates the afterburners, out running many of the missiles. four strike the fuselage on his port side, shredding armor, weakening the wing. No return to space in this bird, he thought.

The Atraxians halted as the building they were about to charge into erupted into flaming wreckage. They turned to Muk looking for instructions.

Muk looked up at the gunship and gave it the middle finger. He looked at his boys, shrugged, then gestured at the mech hangar. “We’z gonna get us a Crushah! Don’t kill da Forge humie, eh?” He said. With his orders given Muk ran towards the mech hangar, his boys struggling to keep up.

Following along behind the group, Scott wondered what he had gotten himself into.

With the security door opened, Steven rushed into the building. Pulling out Prefabricated hacker chip cards, he began to hand out the keys as the rest of the group filed inside. Once the majority of the cards were passed out, he began to interface with the hangar doors. It wouldn't do to have his new friends trapped inside a building when the patrol arrived.

Inside the cavernous warehouse turned mecha dormitory stood eight battle-frames, three Lion class, two Tiger class, and three Puma class. a small mountain of ammunition and spare parts was spilling out of a dozen shipping containers. Beside the containers was another large pile of consumer goods and food stuffs. Typical of pirates, Dav thought, as he raced through the warehouse security door and snatched up a Mecha security key. Spying the collection of Mecha in the makeshift warehouse turned hangar, Dav headed towards one of the Tigers. Dav said, "Lets get these Mommas fired up!"

Xir made it to its Bio-mecha ignoring the noise and small shrapnel from the mass destruction close by. A hatch opened in the skull of the Bio-mecha just in time for Xir to clime in. Immediately the Neurofiber tissues squeezed against Xir's body securing and connecting the two life forms together, even through the armor suit, for a direct control and interaction with the Bio-mecha. Xir began to sense, feel, and see through the perceptions of the Bio-mecha making contact with the exact location of the enemy mecha. Let's test their armor shall we? Xir opens fire with the GAC weapon on the Bio-mecha's left arm, against the Tiger that appears to be already seriously damaged and apparently just getting it's balance again.

A pair of slugs pops out of the barrel of the GAC, one striking the enemy tiger center mass, the other passing through what used to be the Tigers right torso. fortunately for the bracing and a sudden twist used to keep the mecha upright, only moderate damage was scored upon the now standing tiger. The GAC round buried itself deep inside the tiger, its energy spent. However, now there was two new holes next the the partially removed torso. This mecha had certainly seen better days.

With Xir being the sole enemy facing off against the enemy lance, the return fury was spectacular in sight, if not in effectiveness. While the missile systems were still recycling from the volley at the speeding gunship, the cannons and lasers were available. coherent light and ballistic rounds crossed the space between the pirate lance and Xir. Now in its element, the Biomecha danced and twisted, taking minimal damage nearly over all of the bio-mecha's surface. the surface of the bio-mecha warmed considerably, a dozen small cuts and slashes across its thick hide from energy weapons and a new powder burn to its right leg from a near miss explosion from a large caliber auto-cannon shell.

Muk looked at the little security door. He knew there was no way he could force his bulk through that tiny opening. The metal looked to be sturdier than the fence, so he couldn’t break through. He stepped back and gestured inside. “Rotbag, get in dere wit da boys. Get da Crushahs goin.” He grumbled.

While the smaller Atraxians stormed in and started trying to get into the mechas, Muk waited for the hangar doors to open enough to let him in. He caught up with his boys and looked at the mechs.

Rotbag broke the key off in the door of the first Puma. The others had climbed the Tiger Dav didn’t pick and were trying to pry open the cockpit. “Oy, ya idjits! Da hole’s in da ass end!” Muk yelled.

The Atraxians climbed down and watched Rotbag open the cockpit entrance on one of the Lions. Rotbag and two others crammed into the cockpit and started mashing buttons. The other three managed to open a second Lion, trying to activate it.

What ever gods Atraxians were worshiping must have taken an interest in these poor bastards. The Lion fired up its internal fusion engine, and as Rotbag was sitting in the command chair at the time, the mecha stood in its berth, syncing with his simple mind.

Joshua, a little Pissed cause the pirate injured his birds and excited because of the adrenaline, he puts in a disc of barenaked ladies in the portable music player to get the mood in his cockpit. Joshua says "that was a Bad Kitty now deal with your retribution". Annoyed at the lion mecha he does a immelmann turn and speeds up to near afterburners to get closer to return the mecha with a tomahawk rail-gun aims at center mass of the mecha and sends 2 volleys of missiles flying toward the lion mecha missiles points to render it destroyed or useless.
Emptying his payload, the volley of missiles from his dual tomahawk missile pods streaks into the lion mecha, shredding the armor off of the center torso, tearing into the internal structure. Several internal explosions from the internal missile magazines detonated, blowing the mech into several large chunks.

Steven begins running to the Puma, his intent to pilot the mecha before the pirate pirate patrol catches up to him and his friends. Steven enters the cockpit starting up the puma, hooking up his laptop to the computer systems. He syncs his mind to his new found puma while sitting in the command chair. He says to himself "I love technology, let's see what u can do"

All throughout the hanger, fusion engines hummed to life, cockpit screens blinked on, and servos began to warm up. Most of the new pilots brought their own neural interface helmets. The mecha piloted by Rotbag, sensing an absence of neurohelmet, switched to automatic mode. The AI disabled the balance interface, limiting the movements of the mecha to a simple tank like motions. The main hanger doors finally opened, screeching along rusted tracks settled upon the ferrocrete. the sounds of battle emanating from outside. A lion piloted by one of the temporary hires for this mission moved the mecha out of the hanger, targeting systems lighting up the mecha outside.

Xir realizing the limited effectiveness of the GAC weapon, and being seriously out numbered, Xir directs the cutting beam already set for wide spread on a collection of trees between the bio-mecha and the enemy mecha and lights them on fire for cover of smoke and then activated stealth mode. Xir begins charging of the GPW. Unfortunately it takes about 6 seconds to charge and hopefully the cover of smoke and the bio-mecha stealth will drastically help.

The Pirates, now down one of their number, focus fire upon the smoke shrouded bio-mecha, the only target within range and on their sensors. another blistering volley fires through the smoke, tearing up earth and foliage, great explosions blossoming. Zeus himself would have been proud of the thunder and lightning, save for the fact that their target was nowhere in their zone of fire.

Xir had to mentally hold the bio-mecha in place once the rain of fire landed close by. Xir knew that if the bio-mecha moved they would have to start the weapon charge all over again. Because of the commitment to not move now, and when the charge completes, the number of enemies will drastically reduce.

Dav Climbs into a Tiger class battle frame, quickly entering to startup procedure born from long practice.

After the Strafing run on the pirate lance of machines, Joshua speeds away from the battle, taking a moment to reorient himself and his bird. What should i do now, he thought.

Joshua speed away from the flight until he can get to a good safe distance where he can hover and and check how much maxim ammo he has and to check check if anything is damaged beside the wing of his bird. Joshua talks into the mic "Xir i hope that bought you time and to all my brother this bird cant make a trip to outer space my wing is damaged so I'm going to have to repair it soon to jump back into space" with that speech he gave he sets the bird on cloaking and hover so they cant shot or find him while he is checking his ammo and other essential he needs.

Inside the Lion Rotbag turned on, the Atraxians looked at each other. One tried to grab the controls and Rotbag kicked him in the ankle. “Git yer bloody mitts off, Gronk!” He growled. “Go tell da boss.”

Gronk stuck his head out the back of the cockpit. “Boss! Over ‘ere.” He shouted.

Muk grinned. He ran towards the mech and climbed up the back, mostly one-handed since the other was a useless pincer. Looking around, he spotted a place he could hold on with the pincer. “Gronk, fix dis.” He ordered. The other Atraxian pried the pincer open and helped Muk attach it to the ladder.

“Forward!” Muk yelled. Rotbag grabbed the controls and started the mech forward. It moved towards the exit with the rigidity expected of automated systems.

While the humming of the puma starting up is going, Steven connects his computer to the internal system uploading the targeting system. He starts moving the puma to the hangar doors. Anticipating a fight he readies the guns of the Puma.

With the smoke clearing due to a light breeze caused by the intense heat locally in the small forest, Xir and his bio-mecha became visible. The pirate mecha leveled their guns in Xirs direction, taking aim.

Once the clear view was between the bio-mecha and the pirate mecha was seen, the fully charged weapon was discharged. Though the charging of the weapon caused a noticeable increasing of blue light in the bio-mecha' s mouth, the release of weapon to onlookers was very anticlimactic. It was a very small fast moving blue dot, about the size of a human head, going on a direct straight line towards the center pirate mecha. Upon the release of the weapon a gravity point pulled the bio-mecha away up into the air, not only to give as much distance as possible before weapon detonation but to give altitude to truly see the successful destruction or sad failure to be witnessed in just a couple moments.

Time seemed to slow as the small blue projectile streaked across the blasted field. The center mech, the undamaged Tiger, spotted the attack and attempted to evade. If this was a normal kinetic or energy weapon, the spectacular dance would have limited the damage to a superficial scorch or furrow along an arm weapon pod. This was no ordinary weapon discharge. At the point of impact, the small blue projectile suddenly became a small black dot, darkening the area. The whole world seemed to bend towards this singular point. Almost instantly, the Tiger rushed into the darkness, looking as if it did an almost instantaneous jump into its arm. The Tigers form bent and twisted in the half second the darkness existed. Just as quickly as it appeared the darkness passed, light returning the the battlefield. The Tiger impacted by the weapon collapsed to the ground, sparks emanating from a dozen breaches. It laid still, Dark fluids draining from the fractured cockpit.

The other mecha coming from the hanger breached the doors going at full speed, guns ready and thirsty for blood.

Muk peered through the open doorway into the cockpit. He couldn’t make out much from his position, but he could at least see the silhouettes of the enemy mechs stomping towards the Black Forge’s disarrayed formation.

As the smoke cleared, Muk noticed a damaged Tiger moving closer. “Rotbag, show em what Atraxians is made of!” He barked. Rotbag found the weapons controls and aimed at the enemy Tiger as best he could. Then he unleashed the Lion’s fury on the pirate mech, firing twin 125mm Gauss Cannons and dozens of mini missiles.

Due to the inherent lack of skill displayed by Rotbag, the twin cannon shots went wide, obliterating trees behind the damaged tiger. The mini missiles were a slightly different story. While many did miss or glance off before detonating, enough missiles following the shotgun effect of just sheer volume of munitions flayed the remaining armor off of the arms, legs, and torso. Several missiles detonated inside of the tiger, causing critical damage. The pilot, sensing a turn in the battle, ejected. His command chair rocketed into the sky, upwards and away from the battle, a bright flare accelerating away.

Steven moves the puma to the racket outside the hangar, looking on his targeting systems, Steven see's one target. Steven thinks to himself "those must be the pirates, lets thank them for the gear" he fire his two Medium Pulsed Plasma Cannon on his left and right arms on the puma at the pirate puma's rear.

With the focused fire from the four plasma cannons linked with his additional targeting computer, Steven locked on to the rear cockpit hatch, coring out the command and control compartment, killing the enemy pilot instantly.

Assessing the damage to his gunship while in hover mode, power fluctuations began to course through the damaged wiring, cooking circuit boards. Sparks began to fly from previously damaged consoles to the right and behind Joshua.

as it starts to spark Joshua says "well damn that isn't good" he turn back to the control console to stop the sparks and minimize the the damage "Dav how are things holding up on your end ?"

Dav replied, "Go ahead and make a landing, Joshua".

Dav said to the team, "The fight is over and we have secured the base. I will signal the orbiting dropship that we have been successful and they can land for pick up. Good job folks."
