Sitting there in a seat made for a being twice as large as him, D'art felt more childlike then normal. He was happy to have his helmet on still and tried to scoot back into the seat and let the moment pass. He waited about a half-hour, sitting there with his cheeks flushing through the dark complexion and his heart racing. He had never seen so many and so varied in one tight space. It was incredible to see! He reached toward his neck sliding a jade fragment near his neck across the throat plate. The helmet folded back into its reservoir with a soft hiss. He stood afterwards and began bumbling around trying to ask for an Alliance member.
The line D'art had ended up in was being managed by a rather short human woman with a rather wild mass of brilliant orange hair, streaked blue at her temples. She wore the comfortable sweater-like uniform of the Alliance Navy with a rank badge denoting a Lieutenant junior grade on her chest and an officer's cap atop her head. The height disparity was was almost comical, as she stood 5 foot exact, compared to the almost double height Kishargal she had been paired with the operate this check in station.
She was holding snippets of an ongoing conversation with her companion between checking people in, "....still surprised they put you down here, rather than your normal Ops duty" the tall alien was saying.
"Yeah..yeah, section chief is a bit cheesed off after that caper, so, here I am for a few da-" she quickly cut off the personal conversation as D'art reached her check in station.
"Hello and welcome to Port Endeavour, please state your name and reason for visiting the station today and then produce a form of valid identification" she said pleasantly to the half elf, her big blue eyes fixing on him as she readied to input his date into her terminal.
The man stands there expressing himself. You can hear that is relatively young behind the helmet and nervous. The armor is similiar to your own alliance design but also vaguely primitive and "different." He looks behind him waiting for a response hoping that the conversation does not slow down the queue.
It was relatively simple, being military personnel, her room, board, and general foodstuffs were taken care of and the sovereigns that she received were spent on the few personal items that she needed to acquire. Thanks to her spectacular assistants, Ichi and San, she was kept mostly stocked with the necessities and the remaining budget was spent on her favorite luxury goods, well good anyway.
Which is why Dakura Dakura, Space Traffic Control Officer of the Alliance Navy was in the concourse on her day off, to purchase a case or two of some exotic alcoholic beverages for her day off. The Half Elf was practically skipping as she navigated her way through the people and creatures littering the concourse on her well-trodden path to her favorite store her small companions zipping behind trying to keep up.
“You’d think they give you a frequent buyer card by now” San, the Blue Haired miniature android said as she hovered by Dakuras left shoulder, “Or at least give you a discount with as much money as you spend there.”
“Yeah, you practically have a dynasty set up with how many sovereigns you’ve spent there.” Ichi, an almost exact copy of San but with bright pink hair, chimed in floating over for a landing on Dakura’s right shoulder.
“Wow, that was a pretty good play on words Ichi. Did you come up with that yourself?” San said taking up a roost on the elf’s left shoulder, “Didn’t know you had that high of processing power”
“Nope! Heard it on the TV. Sounded neat, was in a commercial for some stuff I saw when watching that one show I’m not supposed to watch because you said ‘it was overtly propaganda’”
“Thought I told the both of you to stop watching that stuff” Dakura chirped in, her tone sounding a bit miffed, “We don’t even have a TV how the hell are you guys watching it.”
“We’re Androids, we have access to all the information a computer does” The pair chimed back in unison.
“I have no clue why I built you two somedays.” The elf said massaging the bridge of her nose, her delighted skip quickly evolving into an annoyed stroll. “I really don’t”
“Because you’re lazy” The androids chimed in unison again.
