I'm under the impression that the respirator portion of the gear is simply meant to provide supplemental oxygen to the user. If that's the case, they can simply carry a device called an "oxygen concentrator", which is a piece of technology that exists in real life, and have the extra oxygen fed to them via a nasal cannula instead of a full face mask. The shirt with the metallic layer is simply not necessary. As for the gravity assist device, the big question would be whether the Kiwomi have access to this technology, and what its affordability is. If they did have this tech, I would imagine it is expensive for them given what I know about their technological level.

As for the rest of the article itself, it could use another look-over regarding grammar, and a small portion at the top stating who uses it, who made it, and when.
